Righto, time for one of those long-assed lists of TV shows. Why?
Because in my experience I've found that I tend to have more in
common with people who enjoy the same kind of comedies, dramas and
Sci-Fi shows that I do. It's one of those "I can tell a lot about a
person" kinda things, but in no way does it mean that it's a
deal-breaker if you don't like something here (I'm not that
Of the stuff that's currently airing or due to come back, I'm
watching Archer, American Dad, The Big Bang Theory, Bob's Burgers,
Community, Doctor Who, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Sherlock,
South Park, Top Gear and True Blood. I've just started Game of
Thrones, having been told it's good, but am focussing more on
re-watching Stargate: SG-1 at the moment (10 season marathon? Jaffa
I've also been known to be a fan of Firefly, Breaking Bad, Dexter,
Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Coupling, Quantum Leap, Sliders,
Buffy, Eureka, Eerie Indiana, Friends, The Inbetweeners, Look
Around You, Smallville, Journeyman, Futurama, Farscape, Red Dwarf,
Spaced, Star Trek (all of them), Stargate (again, all of them),
TMNT, Torchwood, Invader Zim, Spartacus and The Outer Limits.
Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you by regaling a similar list
of movies (because you're probably not a fan of lists, and the more
I give you to read then the longer before you message me, right?
Besides, by now you should already have a fairly good idea of what
I'm into) but I will say that my favourite movie is easily Back to
the Future and I'm a huge fan of Pixar.
Whether I'm reading articles online, stuff on my iPad or simply
great books - I love absorbing information. I'm a bit of an
information junky and enjoy non-fiction - especially anything
pertaining to science or computer history as those topics tend to
intrigue me most. With regards to fiction, I'm a sucker for
anything time travel related. In particular, my favourite short
story is "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury. As a kid it was one
of the most influential short stories that I had ever read. Don't
waste your time watching the movie though; they repeatedly
butchered it with a steak knife.
Huge superhero fan here too. And whilst I enjoy both, I stick by my
view that DC is better than Marvel.
My favourite stand-up comedian is Ross Noble. I also love going out
for improv nights at the Comedy Store although admittedly it's been
a while (any takers?).
To say I like a lot of music would be an understatement. I have a
very eclectic taste, am particularly fond of 80s and 90s music and
I'm a sucker for movie soundtracks. I've played many instruments
over the years, but my main two are piano and guitar.
I have a pretty good collection of retro video game consoles, but
rarely find the time to play them these days. Unless of course, you
fancy a challenge?
When it comes to food I enjoy all sorts of styles (English,
Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Thai, etc.) but in particular
I'm a big lover of chocolate, meat (sorry vegetarians), pizza,
candy and cookies. Cake too. Nom.
Also, for the record;
- are not emotional sissy boys
- do not attend High School
- DO. NOT. SPARKLE.
