During the last half of my Master's, I was also working with a food technology start-up that's going to revolutionize how we use eggs and egg-based products. If you want to know more, ask away.
Right now, I spend my days commuting and working as a Success Rep for a cloud solutions firm in SF. It's surprisingly rewarding work and I can see myself making a career out of it as well. After work, I try to explore new parts of Berkeley and Oakland; discover new restaurants, book stores, cafes, music stores; read up on the latest tech news; organize ALL THE THINGS; and cook relatively healthy meals. I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't enjoy having a fun partner to do these things with me.
I also think you should know some of the things I'm really bad at like maps and directions and being outgoing. I'm also terrible at having any sort of cheerleader-type spirit. Remember when we used to have dress up days where everyone was supposed to dress in school colors to show spirit? I loathed those days ALOT.*
*Hyperbole and a half, anyone?
Some of my favorites include A Place on the Corner, Stiff, Bonk, Gulp, The Philosophy of Sex, Lean In (though I do have some qualms about this book), Watching the English, Lolita, Oryx and Crake, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Casual Vacancy, World War Z, and of course, the Harry Potter series. Currently reading A House in the Sky and Infinite Jest.
I love watching movies and am generally a fan of anything that isn't a romantic comedy or chick flick (unless they have a dark comedic side). A few of my faves include Super Troopers, Inception, Death at a Funeral (British version), Shaun of the Dead, Superbad, Tropic Thunder, Iron Man, Batman, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Virgin Suicides, Little Miss Sunshine, Mean Girls, Juno, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
I don't get to watch a lot of tv but I love Dexter, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, True Blood, Fringe, Misfits and The Walking Dead. Some of my light-hearted favorites are Community, 30 Rock, Workaholics, The Office, Parks and Rec, and Party Down.
I listen to a lot of very different types of music - anything from Matt King, Metric, Lana del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds, Deadmau5, Icona Pop, Juanes, Beethoven, Crystal Castles, E-40, Earth Wind & Fire, Skrillex...anything and everything that might fit with my current mood. But when I'm biking and need music to keep my energy up, I listen to DJ Drama, D-Lo, Travis Porter, Young Jeezy and Tyga. I generally don't listen to hardcore rap, country or metal, but I'm open-minded to all music.
I love spicy, authentic Mexican food and guacamole and chips (sooo good)! I love Chinese, Indian, Thai...I'm pretty willing to try most foods, except for weird raw fish stuff (I think you call it sashimi). And the food I hate most is mushrooms.

*Bonus points if you're a slightly older, nerdy, hilarious redditor who appreciates curves and long brown hair.
**Major bonus points if you can either talk to me about the pros and cons of living in/out of the city (when one's job is in the city) or if you can actually help me find an affordable place in SF near the financial district. Apartment searching is the worst, man.
