Hi Charlotte!! I just moved to town mid-September and I need a guide to show me around. So far I know how to get from my house to work and where to buy food, otherwise I am worthless.

I would like to find someone to explore the town with me. Find all the cool places to eat. Map out the parks, art galleries and all the other places where you can just walk around and enjoy the day.

And then I want to get out and explore the area around Charlotte. Off to the mountains with the camera. Or the great cities around here to explore like Asheville, Savannah or Charleston. Pile into the car on Friday night and don't return till Sunday, what a great way to spend a weekend.

About me:
I am a serious photographer who is happy walking around all day with the camera looking for things to shot. National parks, flower shows or old town and cities are great places for me to visit. I would like someone who would enjoy walking along and talking to me as I explore. Or even better would be someone who loves the hobby as much as I do.

I am a writer, who never seems to write anything down, but my head is filled with story ideas. I am a rather good poet, those I do write down. I could use a muse though. I write from the heart and a girl who can fill my heart with thoughts may find herself buried in beautiful words.

I am a conversationalist who will talk about anything from art and philosophy to whether "What's Opera Doc" is the greatest cartoon short of all time, it is! I have a great sense of humor, you will find yourself laughing endlessly with me around.

I am one of the most outgoing people you will ever meet. I will talk to anyone about anything. I love people and I love talking to them, especially people from different parts of the world. I worked at Disney World for seven years and met people from all over the world.

I love to travel. In the past year and half I have been to Utah for two weeks of hiking through their national parks. I spent a weekend in the everglades and around lake Okeechobee, the damage from sugar growing is unbelievable. And next summer I am planning a trip to California to visit Yosemite, the Redwoods and San Francisco. After that I really want to visit Europe and am fascinated by the Tuscany region. I really need a traveling companion though.

Above all I am just a nice likable guy who gets along with everyone, laughs easily and who just wants someone to hang out with and explore life with.

Working too much and exploring too little.

Photography, writing, poetry.

At making people laugh. At making people smile. At making people feel good about themselves.

That I am very outgoing and will talk to just about anyone.

Books: good ones? :) Harry Potter series, first hand historical books, books that take me to amazing places and introduce me to interesting people.

Movies: All of them! The classics (Casablanca is still the best movie ever made) I enjoy fine cinema, the type of movies that win all the Oscars. Atonement, Pans Labyrinth, The English Patient etc. And even though I am a guy I enjoy romantic comedies. Finally, movies that are really loud and having things that explode in them.

Music: U2, Sting, Eric Clapton, Seal. I enjoy music with good lyrics.

Food! I LOVE good food. Italian. Gourmet pizza, pan cooked steak (yummy!) anything with lots and lots of cheese in it.

Food, shelter and companionship.

Everything in life that we think is important really isn't that important. It is what we take for granted that is important.

God, the nature of the universe and how lucky I am to have what I have and how lucky I am to live where I live.

My stories. I write in my head. Just wish I could write it out on paper as good as I can imagine it in my head.

Reading a good book, watching a good movie, or looking for an excuse to get out of the house.
