My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm goofy, laid-back, and at times quite intelligent. When I'm not being horribly lazy, that is.

My main passion in life is writing. At some people in my youth I decided I'd do that for a living. It was a silly, silly idea. I kill time cooking, socializing with various people, exercising (I got kinda tired of being fat), and nerdy things like comic books and video games.

I tend to go with flow, and there is little that will faze me. I do like to go out and do things if the opportunity arises, but it rarely does. Most often, I coop myself up inside and peer longingly out the window.

I'm not outgoing, but once I warm up to a person, I loosen up, and chances are you'd wish I'd tighten right back up. Off-beat humor and randomness abound.

It's a gift.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Short-answer: Nothing.

I'm working on a new novel, and once that's done, I'll probably do something with it. What that is depends entirely on how little it sucks.

Once I finish this puppy, I'll probably start another, then another, and another. Eventually I'm sure something prosperous will happen, like the apocalypse.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Truthfully, I excel at the things I do. I just don't do much.

I write well, and have a knack for humor. I do not often get angry, and when I do, I get over it in a matter of milliseconds. Like water off a duck's back, as they say.

Sometimes I can be eerily easy to talk to, other times people bore the fuck out of me. Fortunately I'm good at hiding the latter occurrences.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Uh... that I'm human.

A few notables books, in no particular order:

Lord of the Rings; Harry Potter; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and it's subsequent sequels); the Discword novels. I loved Goosebumps and Sideways Stories from Wayside School when i was a youngster. Animorphs too. I have a strange fondness for Watership Down and Brave New World.

I don't read as often since I started writing more seriously (terrible, I know), but I'm really a fan of just about anything. Humor most likely, as it aligns with my own talent(s).

As for TV, just as for books, I normally enjoy anything that isn't outright horrible. Again in no particular order: Futurama; Archer; Battlestar Galactica; the short-lived Caprica; Firefly; Stargate; Doctor Who; Sherlock; The IT Crowd; Red Dwarf; Being Human; Dexter; Breaking Bad; Justified; the first season of Heroes.

Movies: Shaun of the Dead; Hot Fuzz; Star Trek; Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; Ironman; Sherlock Holmes: A Scanner Darkly (apparently I'm a fan of Robert Downey Jr); Black Sheep; Star Wars; Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow; Children of Men; The Incredibles (and everything else Pixar); Hellboy; The Host.

I listen to a lot of music while writing, so it's of high importance to me, and to name a few excellent bands that come to mind, pulled straight from my last.fm profile:

Mansions; Now, Now; Jimmy Eat World; The Forecast; Funeral for a Friend; Thrice; The Republic of Wolves; Portugal. The Man; Los Campesinos!; Dear and the Headlights; Fighstar; The Antlers; Lovedrug; Emery; The Receiving End of Sirens; The Dear Hunter; Dredg; Manchester Orchestra; Sleigh Bells; The Gaslight Anthem; Circa Survive; Moneen; Saosin; Sounds Like Violence; The Mission in Motion; Alexisonfire; Lydia; Arcade Fire; Handsome Furs; Polar Bear Club; Coheed & Cambria; mewithoutYou; Every Time I Die

I like food, in general, but I'm really fond of Mexican and Asian cuisines.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computer/The Internet
Tea. I drink a lot of tea.
Entertainment (I like to be entertained)
My glasses (I would've fallen down a well by now without them.)
Friends (The few, the proud.)
Gravity (It keeps me grounded.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the universe and everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The same thing I do every other night, Pinky.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I live with my very accommodating father. He doesn't seem to mind too much that I'm foolishly chasing the written word.

My sister is here too. That's probably rather strange.

On a side note, I'm very irregular. But who honestly likes to poop.

You're interesting in picking a fascinating brain. I'm not looking for anything serious, mostly because I've got nothing serious to offer.
