I am curious, hard-working, and creative.
My Self-Summary
A musician with a penchant for all things 40's and 50's, that will
never cease to be utterly fascinated by the human race!
I have two main areas in life, the professional musician that has
to be quite conservative, and when I'm not doing that people
usually see the tattooed, pierced and slightly alternative side of
my life! :) Unfortunately the two don't seem to mix so well!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently in the first year of my Masters degree in Performance
at music college, whilst freelancing around London and the
surrounding areas.
Slowly getting to know my way round London's hidden secrets in
smokey jazz cafes; and places where there are no inhibitions, and
everyone is free to be whomever they want...those are the best
places.
I’m really good at
listening to people and giving impartial advice.
I would like to think that I am also pretty good at playing my
viola.
The first things people usually notice about me
umm...I'm not so sure really.
It's probably best to ask other people! It might be the clothes I
am wearing that day, or me smiling, or a plethora of other things.
Everyone always focuses on different things in my experience.
One that never fails to prompt a question, is what I might be
carrying in my case!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
So many to chose from...
Music varies from classical (literally everything within that vast
genre), 20's-50's jazz and swing time, punk, metal,
experimental...I always want to find more!
Books include Perfume by Patrick Suskind, Kafka on the Shore by
Haruki Murakami, An Equal Music by Vikram Seth and countless
others.
I love watching art house movies when I can get my hands on them,
Japanese and Korean horror, ANYTHING by Dario Argento, and old
black and white films. Of course sometimes you need a bit of simple
humour that makes you giggle, for that I reserve Ice Age and titles
of a similar ilk!
Food...hmm, well I'm pretty open with food. I will try most things,
so long as they are vegetarian friendly, but I can't claim to be a
fantastic cook unfortunately!
The six things I could never do without
Music, family, friends, giggles, hugs and fun!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Bruises are wonderful things ;)
You should message me if
You are tattooed, especially neck tattoos ;)
You have a wicked sense of humour and dry wit.
You know of any awesome little places, exhibitions, shows etc to
hang out/see in London!
