My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
We think of wakefulness & the mythopoetic psychocosmology of dreams as separate states, however they interoperate in curious ways.

How else am I supposed to fill up a "self-summary" other than some witty sentence about the nature of human consciousness: an ab shot?

Just a fella trying to do good in the world, have some fun, and meet interesting peoples. This site is a silly place but no sillier than a bar or Dolores Park during mating season.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Career activist currently working for a wonderful homeless outreach nonprofit I've found in San Francisco. Good times.

When I'm not doing that, I'm painting (or trying to), attempting to play some kind of sport, putzing around the net, laying in a park worshiping the sun, drinking with cohorts, forcing myself to read nonfiction (it's almost always depressing), or getting into some form of trouble somewhere.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making vague conflicting statements.
A lot of things.
Not that much really.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This answer hinges waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on the person.

I'll cut myself off at ten of each or this is going to get silly fast.

Authors (in no particular order): Joyce, Chomsky, Zinn, Sinclair, Danielewski, Stephen Crane, Whitman, cummings, Eliot, R.F. Stone, & Matt Taibi. Stephen King (the Dark Tower series in particular) would be my guilty pleasure.

Directors: Fellini, Bergman, Herzog, Coppola, Kubrick, Hitchcock, Linklater, Coehn Brothers, Lynch, & Paul Anderson. Guilty pleasure: Clint Eastwood.

Television: Anything on PBS frontline, Madmen, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, DailyShow/Colbert, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks & Rec, etc.

Music: I'll just look at the first few bands on my playlist... LCD Soundsystem, Nine Inch Nails, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, The Strokes, Can, Cake, The Eels, Misfits, Morrissey, Daft Punk, Vitalic, too many to list.

Food: Recovering vegetarian (lasted 5 years.) Italian.

Poets: Too many to list. Mostly modernists and contemporary experimentalists. Whitman and cummings are my personal favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A cause to fight for.
My mother and sister.
My cat.
The internets.
My friends.
Warm clothes out of the dryer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
America, humanity, history, my family, poetry, football, women, my job, music, my cat, avoiding sharp objects, who I surround myself with, who I am, who I actually am, who I want to be, California in general (still new here).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wandering around the bay getting into trouble or working late.

There isn't such a thing as a "typical" Friday night in California; it's one of the reasons I moved here.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
