Where to begin? I'm a recent SFU graduate and a returning SFU student. I try to live my life with empathy, balancing my own wants and needs with those of the people around me. I am an avid reader as well as an amateur cook. I also find myself drawn to debate, challenging people to view things differently, while being open to the same.

I have been on a recent stint of self-improvement and this profile is a part of that process. I have been trying to branch out into areas that I have neglected during the last few years of school. With that in mind I have been hiking and getting out to explore the city, as there never seems to be an end of places I'm told I "must see". The only thing to elude me so far is travel, I have not gotten enough opportunities to see the world or even the rest of Canada for my own comfort, but all in due time.

I'm returning to school in order to work my way into a PDP program so I can teach secondary school social studies. While I am getting all my ducks in a row I am just enjoying my life, saving some money and spending time with friends and family.

Pretending to know what I am talking about when I really have no idea, Finding the best in people and I can definitely cook when something strikes my fancy.

There really is too much to mention, but for books I've recently enjoyed Perdido Street Station, Name of the Wind, Foucault's Pendulum and I've always had a soft spot for Watership Down, a classic from my childhood.
For TV my top five currently running are Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Community and Arrested Development(I know it's a stretch to call it currently running).
I am one of those people who claim to enjoy most or all music(I know, I know), but it's true. I definitely have a soft spot for classic rock, though.

Well, friends and family are obvious but beyond that a good book, good food, a private place all to myself and somewhere to explore.

Other people and how complex the relationships between everyone are. My future and how best to improve it. Politics and the nature of modern society as well as how to make changes that will improve our lives and the environment.

You are satisfied with your life right now, but believe sharing it could make it better. You should be driven but not just to help yourself, but those around you.
