My self-summary Propose an edit

I am in my second year in grad school. Im working on my PhD in organic chemistry. I think a random list is the best, most fitting way to describe myself.
I love oranges, rain, loud music, wearing pajamas and my peacock patterned couch. I hate writing with pencils and saying goodbye. I love to dance around the lab and my apartment. I can be extremely laid-back and often appear to be quite calm. This however is rarely the case inside my head.
I like to discuss controversial topics, but only with folks that are respectful and in the end are ok to agree to disagree at times
I am not religious but I love to have chats about religion with people who are chill. However, if you have any plans to change/convert me, please don't, find someone else. I have gone to private religious schools my entire life. I have read, and prayed, and gone to church. I am informed and this is where I am. I identify now as agnostic. I don't know and honestly I just don't think I can know. And I am cool with that.
I have two tattoos and one more in the plans. My roommate is my bunny, Suzanne, and she is awesome and has complete reign over my apartment. We recently took in an Ike refugee, my 14 yr old Sheltie, Angel. Its a nice little family. I like to play...I have fun doing almost anything. I like to go out, grab a drink, go dancing, sit somewhere and just people watch, go out for a walk, or just being a bum on the couch....
I really like to try new things. I have a bag full o' things I have started. And I don't like to think I am someone who never finishs things, there are just so many things I least want to have tried. I am decent with a sketchpad and a pencil/pastels and I can fairly successfully crochet you a scarf. I am a complete failure at the guitar, but someday I still hope to pick it up. I also really want to learn to drive a stick, but noone around to teach me....:)
I cant't sing worth a damn, but I still love to do it. I typically spare others from it and limit it to my car or places with very loud music.
I like sarcasm and people I can play with. (I enjoy ending sentences with prepositions:) ). I have the sense of humor of 12 year old boy at times and swear like a sailor. I do however know when to behave professionally/ladylike etc.
I can be neurotic but overall I think knowing me is worthwhile. You can't get to something really good without a bit of crazy (for all its good and bad) along the way.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I knew I wanted to be a chemist early on. In second grade, for parents night, they hung up our pictures of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Surrounded by princesses, ballerinas and firemen, my picture showed a girl in a white coat and goggles holding bubbling test tubes.
I'm a nerd and its damn sexy :)
When I am not doing school, I am trying to find ways to get away from waco and baylor (i do not fit in here well but I suppose i'll survive a few years)

books: the Outsiders, the Godfather, absolutely anything by King, Koontz and Ray Bradbury or Poe, hitchhikers guide, clockwork orange, I never promised you a rose garden, Lee Child's Reacher series ( I seem to like books about crazy folks, creepy/scary things, and scifi fantasy themes)

movies: mallrats, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, bridget jones and love actually, dazed and confused, say anything and other such 80s movies, snatch, fight club, i love movies and honestly will watch anything once

music: lets see..... the doors, queen, stone temple pilots, foreigner, bob Schneider makes me melt in all sorts of inappropriate ways, red hot chili peppers, woodbelly, wideawake, hard knox and the heads, the who, tom petty and the heartbreakers, travelin willburies, flaming lips, maroon 5, the feds, sinatra, led zepplin, sublime, the rolling stones, anything and everything i can dance to or sing along to.....etc.

foods: oranges, crawfish etouffee and other fabulous cajun dishes, spaghetti, anything chocolate, rootbeer:) i am gaining much appreciation for indian food and sushi
