My self-summary
When in my company, you will likely notice my tendency to laugh and
fidget... a lot. I was once told I am forgettable, but hopefully
that was only one person's opinion.
Here are some things that are important to me, about me:
I think that in the past I threw around the word "love" where
"really like" was more accurate. I feel confident, now, that I know
the difference. That said, I have, once, been very truly in
love.
I choose to believe in a powerless God. This consciousness who
loves me, and you, and all of us, and really wants things to go
well for us and for the whole world. But, he didn't make us, and he
doesn't interfere with us. He's just there to listen and say,
"You're okay, press on!"
I like adventures— heading out to see what there is to see. Tea
houses, book shops, climbing-trees, and oceans are favorite
destinations. Also, adventuring is generally more fun exercise than
gyming. Win/win.*
I think stories and our reactions to them are important ways to
feel and grow. So movies, books, plays, and shows are among my
favorite things.
I want to make art, make friends, and see and save the world.
I won't ever lie to you. I may plead the 5th, but mostly I'm George
Washington after the cherry tree incident.
*Gyming is ok sometimes, too.
OkCupid: Now in Spanish!
He estudiado español hace el cuarto grado. Me gusta hablar y quiero
ir a España, Argentina, o Chile. El próximo año, voy a empezar
estudiar francés también. Si quiere Ud. practicar español conmigo,
enviéme un mensaje.
What I'm doing with my life
I go to college in rural— RUR. ULL.— Ohio. When the sun is out, I
love it.
I am studying French this year, though I am an English major. In
all likelihood, I will soon be living in a box. Hopefully a box in
France.
This year, I declared my independence. Before I am daughter, or
sister, or student, or friend, or girlfriend, or actress, or any
other title I've used to define myself in the past, I am me. It's
an exhilarating change.
I'm really good at
Dreaming, Nurturing.
I am also confident in my ability to sing, to write poems and
lyrics, to act, and to draw However, I am not Christina Aguilera
(she has pipes, seriously), Shakespeare, Meryl Streep, or M.C.
Escher.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
That I am female. These days, that I have a buzz cut. That I look
about 10 years younger than I am when I smile.

A sense of possibility.
Loving friendships.
Cold water.
Sunlight.

Hugs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to help the world. How each decision I've made has shaped my
life, and how glad I am I made them. Who I am, and who I want to
be, and how to close the gap between the two. The word
"scintillating"— seriously, almost daily. The price of tea in
China.
And... if I'm really honest... obsessing over mistakes. And
strategizing on how to stop obsessing over mistakes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Days of the calendar week do not apply to my life that much.
Hopefully on any given night I am spending time with someone
awesome.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
The other day, I made a key for what emotional meanings I correlate
with physical affection. Since anybody I go on a date with will be
affected by my new adherence to it, here it is:
Hug: I care; You matter to me.
Kiss on the cheek: You're sweet.
Forehead kiss: I am caring for you, you're safe.
Hand hold (while out and about): We're together. (not inherently
romantic.)
Cuddling (old friend): I care for you unconditionally.
Cuddling (new): I really like you. I can see us getting
close.
Hand hold (with cuddling): [Not sure exactly what this "says," but
it's really intimate.]
Kissing: I'd like to see something romantic happen with us.
Sex: I am in love with you.
You should message me if
You're a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a
magic-bean-buyer. If you know that reference. If you love to
cuddle. If you like to drift downstream and then wrestle back up
it. If you like to climb trees. If you're beautiful. If you have a
hilarious joke to share.
Don't be too offended if I don't write back. You're still awesome.
I'm just busy. <3
Oh, and PLEASE message me if you are from Europe and would be
willing to let me stay with you a few days while I'm traveling next
year!
