I am a
community organizer who is
committed to working towards a more socially just community. I love
having
intellectually stimulating
conversations with interesting people. I identify as a
queer genderqueer feminist. I am originally from St.
Louis and have lived in Denver for a few years. My undergrad degree
is in English, and I have a major nerdy side. I have very clear
values that are
very important to me and dictate the paths I take in life. I am in
a life-long process to address my own
internalized oppression and
dominance, as well as to transcend my
mortal foibles to arrive at a greater
awareness in life. I have a cat named
Tennessee
Williams who befits his namesake with his major mommy issues. I
fit in the
2 and
ENFP boxes for those
so inclined.
I am doing exactly what I think I should be doing with my life
right now. I'm really happy with where I am in life and the amazing
people in my
community. I'd like to meet and get to
know more of these amazing people.
Writing, making people feel loved and cared for, laughing, getting
deeply involved in my own bizarre interests, analyzing, being
simultaneously incredibly cynical about the system as it is and
incredibly idealistic about the new world we are creating,
recognizing subtexts, parallel parking, getting along with
introverts, being intuitive, standardized tests, being awkward.
Physically, people tell me my very blue eyes. Otherwise, my charm,
intelligence, and passion.
Music. Laughter. Love. Work. Actively trying to affect
social change. My
people.
How to build sustainable grassroots movements, building new
paradigms,
liberation,
existential
crises, the meanings of life and death, my decisions, being a white
person and having
white privilege, gender roles
and socialization,
food justice,
fetishization
of commodification and consumerism,
exploitation, sex worker rights and
organizing, our creation of monsters to avoid seeing the dark sides
of ourselves and our communities.
Out with friends.
I tend to be somewhat of a workaholic.
You are
intelligent and
kind, have a good sense of
humor, and care about
social
justice issues. Being interested in or curious about
non-monogamous relationships is a definite plus as well.
