I believe that life itself is somewhat like that in that we sometimes have all these grandiose plans which end up going awry. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing as it continues our personal development and growth.
A few years back I foresaw myself on a slightly different road, with a slightly different destination. I had different dreams, different ideals, values and core concepts of what matters in life.
Then life happened and it all began to evolve. What was one day doldrums and routine became a window of self-reflection and started me on a path of introspection.
After much seeking, thinking, reflecting and soul searching, I realize that at this moment I have arrived exactly where I am supposed to be and that I have grown so much as a person since I started on my journey.
Anyway, I could go on about the adventures of being the wrong man in the right place making all the difference but I suppose you want to know a bit about me. I am 31, a part time professor, researcher and wrapping up my doctoral dissertation. I am hoping to consult, write and follow my passion which is research. I love history, adore science and find our universal shared history, cultures and values to be mind blowing. When you step back and see how big things really and how interconnected we all are.
Beyond the basics of being 31, I have brown hair, brown eyes, I don’t smoke, I drink socially, can move gracefully amongst different social circles and like to consider myself a good guy.
I’m here because I know this has worked for people that people do come together and connect on OKC. It’s really one of those moments of “you never know – lightning may strike”.
If you have read this far say hi! :)
