My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, the short version of me is that I'm intelligent and geeky. My story...well, I come from the desert, being that I'm originally a native of Tucson, and moved to Portland about four years ago on a mission of personal growth and to have a decent paying post-college gig.

Personality-wise, I value my resourcefulness, individuality, and honesty more than any of my other traits. I also tend to be really enthusiastic about almost anything (but especially if it means I get to learn a new trick!), and I love to talk and tell stories as much as I like to listen. What else...oh, I'm somewhat shy, but most everyone is until they have an idea of what they're dealing with, right? :P

Basically, if you're cool with optimistic intelligence with a side of light-hearted sarcasm, then we'll get along swimmingly :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Mainly just looking to gain a firm foothold in my chosen profession of project management. However, on a less pragmatic note, I'm also rebuilding my social network since I knew approximately zero people when I moved up here, as well as getting various forms of Microsoft technical certifications, as they help with my job and are the mental equivalent of merit badges. I'm also always thinking about where I want to end up and who I want to be when I get there.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
People. Reading them, interacting with them, I've always been intrigued by them, and it was the realization of that fact that changed my track in undergrad from computer engineering to psychology. However, I'm still a techie too, and am usually the one running around my office blathering about the most recent development in x form factor personal computing device, y cross-industry standards battles, or z random neat programs that I pick up in my web-based wanderings.

I'm also a decent writer, good at logic and analysis, handy with cars, can rip apart and rebuild a surprisingly robust number of devices, and usually can offer a good story, funny joke, honest observation, piece of advice or human empathy as needed.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually my clothing selections, if its during the day. I'm the guy at my work who comes in rockin' a vest, suspenders, and bow tie or three piece suit just 'cause, but just as easily can do a low-key t-shirt and jeans with a motorcycle jacket over it (and usually change into such as soon as I have the chance to get out of my "work clothes"). And my sense of humor, which ranges ranges pretty wide. I'm a fan of slapstick, dry wit, funny observations, absurdist setups, practical jokes, and I have an unhealthy fixation with puns and find them _much_ funnier than most everyone else I know. But chances are, if someone can laugh at it, I'll probably be giggling right alongside.

Oh, and my eyes are apparently kinda pretty. And they change colors from hazel to green, depending how I'm feeling (unverified and completely anecdotal, I've never had an occassion to try and get worked up and run to the nearest mirror).

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My one-eyed black cat, Synecdoche. I got her when she was six weeks old, and even though she's a bit jumpy and spastic (she's only got one eye, give her a break), she's my little kitty companion, and she helps keep me going when I feel lonely up here occasionally. Also, if you want some insight into my sense of humor, look up the definition of Synecdoche sometime :)

2. My pastel Snoopy doll. I didn't bring it up with me, and it's still under safe-keeping with my parents back in Tucson, but this is probably the only thing I have left from when I was a baby. He's worn down, but I'll be damned if he wasn't always treated with the utmost respect out of the rest of my toys. He's just too Joe Cool for school...

3. My motorcycle, R-Type (yes, I named my motorcycle after a Japanese shoot-'em-up video game, what of it? :P). It's a little 1979 Suzuki GS425 that I fixed up and modified so now it looks like a little red-with-a-white-racing-stripe cafe racer, and it's value comes from the feeling of accomplishment it gives me, as well as it being uniquely mine, and also because it is a motorcycle which automatically makes it Bad to the Ass.

4. A computer. I love having a wealth of knowledge at my disposal at any point, and I like the ability to feed my desire/need for intellectual stimulation whenever I feel like it.

5. My diploma. It's probably my "greatest" achievement so far, and in my mind it represents all of the work I put towards earning it as well as all the memories and personality growth that came along with it.

6. My name. It's my connection with my family, as well as a constant reminder as to how unique I am...and while I'm not going to write it out, I will say that I've yet to meet anyone other than my father with my first name.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. I seem to be -always- thinking. Common topics include evolutionary psychology, financial analysis, what I should get a masters in, am I truly happy where I'm at in life (and what I need to do to advance that), random songs, what I should try to DIY next...though lately I've been thinking about what to write in this profile :P
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies. Activity-wise, I like hiking, coffee, riding my motorcycle, watching people, having an interesting/enlightening discussion/exchange, thrift-store-eteering, watching a fun movie/show, building something new or fixing something, trying to write a story or play guitar, playing almost any sort of game, trying to cook, walking around lost in thought; pretty much, if the right people are around, I'm up for anything.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Um, pretty much anything is up for grabs. I really don't mind talking about anything. Um...how about this: I sing in the car _constantly_, to songs that most men wouldn't be caught singing in public in a million years. Today was a Lady Gaga/La Roux/Sheryl Crow megamix :P

More than anything else, if you feel like it ;)
