I was born in Australia, but after 15 years in Seattle I'm an official native and absolutely love it here. It took me just about that long to realize that I haven't left yet for a reason.
Like everyone else I love to travel. I have to admit to being floored by how worldly some of the people on here seem to be - nice job! So far I've been to India, Thailand, Peru, Australia (cheating) and lots of places around North America. As a recovered workaholic that's not a bad list, but now that my priorities have changed I can definitely do a lot better. Some time soon I'd really love to visit Japan but probably need a good tour guide or a serious crash course in the language.
Even though I'm not a workaholic any more, I do love my job. It provides a chance to be creative and every day pushes me beyond my comfort zone. Doing well means that people enjoy using our product and the instant feedback is very rewarding.
A few of my favorite things: Cooking and eating healthy food, hiking, camping, movies, highland whiskey, and very well designed tech.
I try to surround myself people who are honest, blunt, and don't take themselves too seriously. My humor can be very dry (I've heard), which I blame on my Aussie background. I think people should be excited to continually try new things and find out what their opinion is about the important stuff.
