My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If I start paragraphs I'll type until I run the alphabet soup company out of business, so to put myself in a list; outside of my (meager) job and university (basically any obgliation) I'm absent minded to a fault; I like to just see how life unfolds (sounds cliche, but turns out it's the truth for me)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well I'm in my third year (probably out of five) of university, and have an easy job that pays about what you'd expect. Other than that, shit not much. Until I graduate I'm pretty much coasting outside of my obgliations. I like to drive around (particularly at night in the ritzy neighborhoods; I'm a terrible liar and thief so don't worry), read/write, catch up on the ungodly amount of backlogged TV and movies I have stored, and sing my tone-deaf ass across voice chat servers.

That's the stuff I usually do anyhow; I don't really have an 'activity schedule' to speak of. Some weeks I like to hit the theater or mope around a shop, other weeks I stay home save for work/class

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can write some bullshit well (now if only that was a useful skill in the day to day), or stories, that too

I'm about as good with computers/software as any other aspiring IT worker I suppose; variety is important with that field and as a result I usually have to wipe my machines monthly since I'm an accidental devotee to trial and error

I'm not good at learning another language, or playing an instrument, or singing Seal: Greatest Hits, but I do try those things. Practice makes better, at least with the language learning

To sum it all up, I like being a Jack of all trades (emphasis on the 'master of none' bit)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Aside from my weight, glasses (or hair if I leave it unkempt). At least, that's what I assume visually
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: ASOIAF for sure (along with LOTR/Tolkien in general), good sci-fi (for hard sci-fi, Tony Gonzalez wrote a couple books in the EVE universe that were pretty top), anything with a good name and not written in that early 20th century form where it's more like an academic report than a written work in general

Movies: Too many to name, but if I had to pick the first three that came to mind; The Big Lebowski, Gladiator, and any SyFy original that isn't blatant horror (like Pirahnaconda, or Big Ass Spider!)

Shows: Farscape (if you like practical effects and soft sci-fi, check this shit out), The West Wing, Red Dwarf. You might remember the 'massive backlog of TV/movies' I mentioned earlier; hence why most of my shows are a decade or so behind

Music: Literally anything (with a focus on stuff like The Police, D&B, Rush, good metal) as long as it has a good musical rhythm, and not much else is a requirement. Genre Fusion is usually neat though

Food: Light stuff (meaning non greasy/fried basically), I can't really stomach the rich things anymore. Now if only this had happened a few years earlier, but eh. I do cook a lot, so add chicken in here too
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I've come to accept I'd need a total re-invention if I didn't have a computer, so that tops the list
Toilet Paper (really this should be on everyone's list)
Some form of music or instrument
Something to read

Not much else honestly, tons of things I like though
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Either topics that spring from things I see (like thinking about how car suspension got to where it was today when hearing the squeaky cars pass) or nothing in particular. It's pretty damn refreshing to not think about anything from time to time
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't really have a special thing for Fridays, but in general I'm either wandering around the UL vicinity, or more likely at home studying, scrounging up enough dough for rent, or goofing off. If city buses ran later that'd be swell though
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Avoiding disgusting shit, I'm not really too keen on the whole 9-5, graduate and master's deal. That's literally what I mean, I definitely enjoy what I study and the idea of getting like $60k starting is fucking magnificent, but I can't say it's my sole drive. I'm in university because of TOPS and good family planning, and as a result I don't want to waste this opportunity. But I wouldn't be crestfallen if it didn't work out
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I gotta admit the whole text-communication still confuses me, so if you are into the whole first message thing great; but honestly I'll talk about anything. Some of the best chats I've had are with complete strangers, real life or no, so hey, why not
