I am sweet, funny, and a smartass.

My Self-Summary

I enjoy humor in all its forms. My own sense of humor is quite dry and leaning toward sarcastic. I tone it down around friends who don't appreciate it , but it's definitely where I thrive...

I'm an extremely loyal friend, close to my family, and considerate of others. I'm a smart guy and am interested in learning more about and discussing anything and everything - even if it's completely foreign to me. I don't judge my friends for not having seen my favorite movies, but I do try to remedy that situation.

I get along well with people who are laid back, outgoing, witty, and intelligent. I love spending time with people that push me (just a little) to try something new, or introduce me to a favorite interest or hobby of their own that I'm not yet into.

What I’m doing with my life

Up until very recently, during the day, I was working a huge Tech company doing product marketing...now I'm working at a tiny tech company doing marketing...

...I'm also working to make the world a better place, a little a time, with a tiny but fantastic non-profit.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at listening, not just faking it. I genuinely want to know more about other people, what they're thinking and where they're coming for. After all, other people keep life interesting.

I'm also a bit of a cinema fanatic - classic old movies at a restored movie house, summer blockbusters, foreign films, the latest art house indie films - I love them all...so...I'm a good movie companion?

I do a number of wonderfully terrible accents?

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm shy, but I pay close attention and will occasionally slip a humorous one liner into conversation even when I haven't quite opened up yet.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Lets start with movies...first off, I love far too many to list but here's a sample: Anything 'Epic' or with a bad ass hero (well and Pixar movies, can't get enough of their animated genius), Gladiator, LOTR, The Terminator (and a bunch of other Arnold movies I'm embarrassed to list), Indiana Jones, Alien, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Touch of Evil, Casablanca, Chinatown, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters...(this list is going to go on forever so I'll stop here).

TV shows: The Sopranos, Entourage, Burn Notice, Rescue Me, The Wire, Weeds, Myth Busters, How I Met Your Mother.

Books: This one is tough as well, I'll read pretty much anything someone recommends or puts in front of me, but I'm a little dyslexic so I don't read quickly. (Favorites that come to mind: Jurassic Park, Catch-22, Machiavelli's The Prince, The Art of War, dozens of fantasy/Scifi novels I won't bother listing).

Music: Rock of all sorts from classic to alt to metal, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rap, Classical, and that hippity-hoppity stuff. (For whatever reason I've not yet learned to enjoy Country)

Food: I'm a pizza snob..there, I said it. I love pizza, but it can't just be any pizza. I'm talking seriously high-quality, NY style pizza. I could go on here for quite some time so I'll spare you for now. It's tough to find a decent bagel in California so every time I visit the east coast I'm reminded how much I like them. Chocolate is an addiction I've come to terms with, it's no use fighting it. I eat a lot of meat...but balance it out with a lot of uh...fruit...so that's good right?

The six things I could never do without

- A nearby movie theater (or at least Netflix)
- Chocolate
- My family
- My Friends
- My Camera
- Fresh Produce(?)

On a typical Friday night I am

On a typical Friday night, I'm probably watching a movie, either on dvd or in a theater. If for some reason I'm not found movie watching, then I'm hanging out with friends (dinner, coffee, at a bar, hanging out at home playing rockband...whatever they were in the mood for).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've definitely got a bit of a geeky side. I may be a marketing guy, but I pride myself on being able to understand and identify with all of the engineers and scientists that are found amongst my family and friends. That stuff really does interest me. (I'll even admit to enjoying boardgames, and the discovery channel).

You should message me if

If you think you'd enjoy going to really bad B movies and making sarcastic comments about them, (or viewing top quality 'films' for that matter), have a weakness for fine chocolate, or are willing to admit that your a little on the geeky side, we'd probably have a good time together.
