My self-summary
I have a good sense of humor and I think laughter is a great trait. I love music [listening to it] and I love to draw. I enjoy going to the National Gallery of Art to draw from the paintings. I'm a voracious reader. I love Samuel Beckett for his grim sense of humor. :-) I'm creative, affectionate and I have a big heart.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as an optician. I enjoy it because it is part art and part science to fit people with glasses. I workout two times a week. I share my apartment with a cat named Rocky. And of course I try to get in as much drawing as possible. I always have a book I am reading.
I’m really good at
Drawing:-). Being an attentive person. Being interested in people. I think that is why I love living in the city with so many types of people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have good wit...I enjoy listening to people tell their stories.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything by Samuel Beckett. James Joyce's, Finnegan's Wake (even though I have yet to understand it:-)). I am also a fan of the author Italo Calvino. My favorite movie is "The Prestige". I do not have a t.v. which usually gets me sucked into anything I see when I do have access to one. Music: I like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Johnny Cash, Laibach, but I have a collection of over 300 cds so it is hard to pick a favorite. I also love a good simple punk band like The Ramones.
The six things I could never do without
People. Drawing. Music. Working out. Books. My cat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Being a compassionate listener.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drawing reading or listening music. Or at a dive bar people watching.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As much as I admire people who are extroverted I am at heart an introvert. But I can be an outgoing guy at times.
