As a huge film buff, I've seen ALL(4/24/13 WEWT) of the IMDb Top 250. My tastes turn towards the artistically and technically astounding, but everyone (including me) can enjoy a turn-off-your-brain action flick. (Protip:tak to me about cinema, it's my kryptonite.)

Musically, I'm more interested in finding what's new and different than what's popular. The only genres I can't tolerate are country-pop and some opera. Give me Daft Punk, Hank Williams, CHVRCHES, Porter Robinson, The Strokes, The White Stripes and their brethren The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, deadmau5, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Kanye+Jay as The Throne, Justin Timberlake, Grimes, Broke For Free, The Modern Electric, The Beatles, Green Day, etc etc etc.

Literature-wise, I was raised on a healthy diet of science fiction and fantasy. I am partial to Isaac Asimov and Shakespeare. The last book I read was "I am Legend".
