I am Humanish, Thinkerly, and Goofyest.

My Self-Summary

Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking isn't thinking of. -TMBG

I'd say I'm unique and different and a little weird, but um, we're ALL different and unique and a little weird...I want to be different just like everybody else! hee, stole that too. sheez.

Half way thru NaNoWriMo and going strong...woo hoo!!

Let's see...When I'm not stuck at my Clark Kent job I'm a freelance writer and photographer, and besides being lucky enough to go see live bands (for shooting), and hanging out with all sorts of bizarre individuals, I LOVE reading books on philosophy and quantum physics (usually at the same time, rofl, because I LOVE when they seem to parallel one another and be talking about the same exact thing but from two totally different angles!). I'm currently re-reading (for the 3rd time) a book called 'the Field', which is truly mind blowing, and also really good for helping me with ideas for one of the novels I'm puttering away at! Ok, and I'll admit, my brother has gotten me into reading graphic novels too (yeah yeah, big boy comics, rofl)...Just got done reading a series call 'Transmetropolitan' which was basically Hunter S. Thompson in the future, ha. Speaking of Hunter...

I'm prone to spontaneous roadtrips and odd adventures and a couple months back I was reading Hunter's 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' and three days later I found myself holed up in some skeezy little hotel room up in Virginia for a long weekend having a mad writing frenzy and completely destroying billions of brain cells.

What I’m doing with my life

Living it? I don't know, exploring, expanding (my mind), growing, learning, changing, evolving, breathing, becoming, napping, etc'ish

Wait, is this where I'm supposed to show that i've got a plan and a goal and blah blah blah?? Eh, whatever...I'm wandering and loving every minute of it.

FINE, ok, shit, I've got a Clark Kent job like I mentioned, it pays the bills and keeps me insured, but the rest of the time I'm busy living and trying to capture it all in words and images and artsy fartsy pursuits!

I’m really good at

Well, I do pride myself on being a rather cunning linguist. DOH, no no, you didn't just read that, move along, hee. I'm really good at being a smartass apparently, rofl. I've been told I'm a decent writer and a purdy durn good photographer. OH, I know...I'm reallllly good at breathing, I mean, I've been doing it all my life, right?

Spontaneous road trips too!

The first things people usually notice about me

My bright blue hair. I mean really, it's hard to miss, hee.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

hardbacks, DVD's, MP3's, and fresh made

No no no, ok for realish...

And these aren't in any order and I KNOW I'm forgetting some of my favs, it's just how my brain's file retrieving system is working right now...poorly, ha.

Books...
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (series, and Douglas Adam's others...love him so much that in my leg tatt I've got the little green guy from the cover of the first printing of HHGTTG), Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Field, Chaos, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, LOTR, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (pretty much anything by Hunter who's a personal hero), Fight Club (pretty much the only book of Chuck's I liked, though I'd read like his first 4), A Scanner Darkly (and pretty much all Philip K Dick's stories), Pretty much anything on quantum physics, string theory, and such. Got something like 400 books at last count so I KNOW I'm forgetting some favs.

Movies:
Not in a particular order... Bicentennial Man, Matrix (the first one mainly...they lost the spirit of it in the second two I think), LOTR, A Scanner Darkly, The Princess Bride, Kung Pow, ORGAZMO (hee hee, and Choda Boy!), Children of Men, Monty Python (most of 'em), What the Bleep Do We Know, Mindwalk, Schizopolis, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Brazil, 12 Monkeys,Time Bandits (pretty much any movie by Terry Gilliam), Legend (the one and only screenplay I'd ever tried writing is a prequel to this), Army of Darkness (and Evil Dead 1 & 2, and most of Sam's films), Watchmen, Laurel and Hardy/Charlie Chaplin films (was weened on them), The Big Lebowski, Young Frankenstein, wowzers, ok that's enough for now, and again I know I'm forgetting some favs.

Muziq:
The Clockwork Cabaret (Steampunk radio show, Mon nights 11pm, WCOM 103.5 FM-LP in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, NC), They Might be Giants, NiN (older the better), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lemming Malloy, Pink Floyd, Modest Mouse, Live, Deftones, Hot Hot Heat, Suzanne Vega, Poe, King Missile, pretty much anything but hardcore gangsta' rap and most country.

Food stuffs:
Well, I spent 13yrs working in the restaurant industry so I LOVE to cook (let me whip ya' up some yumminess that'll have more than your mouth watering! hee). I pretty much love it all! Sushi is damn near the top though.

The six things I could never do without

air. Yeah yeah, most smartasses put that don't they. I mean without it I'd just be blue.

Wait, that's only one. Hmmm,
my son,
my phone (with internet access, ha),
my sense of humor (otherwise I'd have gone postal like years and years ago),
that first morning stretch (except when it causes a charlie-horse, FRIKIN OUCH!),
the ability to communicate and create

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Deep philosophical questions like why are we here, what's for dinner, just why CAN'T I lick my elbow or stick my elbow in my ear?

On a typical Friday night I am

Depends on the week...I have my son every other week so I get to do the dad thing one week in which case we'd probably be staying over at a friends or chilling at home. On my 'single' week Fri night I'm either out causing trouble or home editing pictures, ha.

Possibly off on a spontaneous road trip though.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Was recently dating a married couple (a first for me), it was amazing and wonderful and bizarre and challenging and scary and SO frikin' hot and and and 'eh, it ended too soon.

So I put 'bisexual', but my experience in that dept is VERY limited, and not something I'm actively pursuing but I'm not entirely opposed to it...I'm just sayin', ha. How 'bout "heteroflexible", yeah, that works, hee hee

You should message me if

you have the ability to type goodly. I mean, some people have a way with the english language and some of us not have way.

I'll put more in here soon, but give me a break, I just got done answering like 200 questions before realizing that they weren't kidding about having eleventy-billion questions.
