What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying hard to be the changes I want to see in the world.

I've always really enjoyed learning about and using technology. Which lead to my career in the R&D field. I found I was too often uncomfortable with the corporate/government contracts world. After departing all that, I now devote some of my spare time toward not for profit community/humanitarian issues.

A few being, I crewed & produced several public access tv shows. Was quite active in the Occupy movement, on the media team. Currently volunteering at a local "community conscious" radio station. These activities have not only been rewarding, as well as loads of fun, but, they're where I've met and befriended some astonishing people.

I'm an avid cyclist and am one of the organizers for a group bike ride. (Come ride with us (me!)) I really enjoy padding my kayak with small groups of friends. I'm co-host of a monthly gay men's dinner group.

I'm pretty much a minimalist. But I am realizing my apartment can't hold another bike, so either I'm moving soon, or getting rid of a love seat. Maybe both. It seems the correct number of bikes to own is n+1. Oy..

I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I'm one of those people.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Some of my favorite books include Stranger in a Strange Land, the Odyssey series, the Ender's Game series, Hitchhiker's Guide series, Brave New World, God is Not Great, 1984, & Fahrenheit 451.

Proud to be a life long Trekkie. A tech/geek sci-fi show/movie will always be my first choice. Short of that, comedies, thrillers, documentaries, &, if I must, the occasional adventure film.

I currently follow these series online: Vikings, Cosmos, Downton Abbey, Looking, & Game of Thrones. I'm not sure yet about The Leftovers. My tv is a computer monitor. I have little appreciation for cable/broadcast tv.

Mostly into whatever we're calling alternative rock now. Some 80s stuff is still fun, and on occasional, some classic rock.

Favorite foods are German, Asian, Mexican, Italian, American, & Mediterranean.
Ok, fine. YES, I do enjoy eating out. But I am a decent cook when I decide to be.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Wonder, passion, cities, bicycles, laughs, umm, and clearly, cheese has to make this list.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I often plan adventures for myself, generally including my friends. Sometimes small groups. So, I spend a lot of time thinking about what's the next big adventure, and how I can pull it all together.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
A Vulcan in the streets. A Klingon in the sheets.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I know we've just met, but I feel I've known you since way back when I first started stalking you.
