My self-summary Propose an edit

When I tried to save my profile I received an error message that my self-summary was too short. So, I am trying it again. To summarize myself, I would say that I'm a pretty down-to-earth person who wishes she was a much better speller. I am shy when I first meet someone, but after I warm up to them I can be a bit on the bawdy side. Friends have commented that I have an "earth-mother" quality that puts them at their ease. I took that as a compliment. And not a statement that indicates that I'm covered with dirt. I think that's a good thing. I think two of the most important things that are missing today are kindness and appreciation for and towards others. I hope that I am doing my small part to rectify that situation.

The first thing people generally notice about me is my quiet nature. Then, after getting to know me better, they are all about my sense of humor. Or, maybe I should call it my sense of ridiculousness. Laugh with me, not at me, and we'll probably be friends for life. Or, at least for a while.

I spend a great deal of time thinking about my place in the world. I wonder if I am living with purpose, on purpose. I am curious to learn about most things. I wonder about how to achieve my greatest potential. I think about ways to help others.

On a typical Friday night I am usually with friends. Sometimes at the movies. Occasionally online. Every now and again watching the tube. Depending on the week, I will seek out friends and fun, or I will lean more towards home and take-out.
