On a typical weekend: I am writing and sipping coffee in my neighborhood cafe, cycling along the waterfront, stopping to catch part of a salsa concert on the pier, people watching, taking in the air. Typical New Yorker.
I have no children of my own but I love kids. If you have kids great, if you don't, that's fine too.
I am a Humanist--I don't believe in a creator, a man in the sky or a magical Higher Power which micro-manages my life. I try to be kind in my daily interactions; on an elevator, at the grocery store, saying hello wherever I go. One never knows what stories and sorrows the stranger on the street passing you is carrying.
My mantra is:
"Life is short, and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind."
