My self-summary
Artistic, liberal, feminist, feminine. Sometimes outgoing, sometimes shy. Juilliard graduate. Was voted class clown in highschool. Avid cyclist, though not the least bit competitive. I'm not one of those people who shouts out 'On yer left' when passing you on the bike path, but I will ring my bell like hell if you cross me in Times Square! I am also a big history buff and do a lot of research for projects as well as for my own pleasure.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for a financial firm. I like the people in my office and am proud to be a part of 'ye working classes'. My background is in the arts as a writer, performer, director. I do graphic design and write for our company newsletter and am a member of the philanthropy committee. In 2012 I wrote and performed a one woman show. Currently working on a new project.
I’m really good at
Telling funny stories and naming that tune. Doing handstands underwater. I am also very 'crafty'...I can take the ugliest chair in the universe and make it pretty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: The 400 Blows is my all time high. The Tree of the Wooden Clogs, Rear Window, Stranger Than Fiction, Gosford Park, To Kill A Mockingbird, Fanny and Alexander.

More Movies: Classic horror/suspense (not juvenile gore porn like Saw) old school...with a sense of humor. Hitchcock, Polanski.

Music: Old Country Western, Funk, good old Rock n Roll, Hip Hop, Jazz (not that breezy Kenny G crap), Indian, Irish...and old singers like Tino Rossi and Doris Day. Newer artists like Lykke and Jay May.

Three best albums ever made in my opinion: Zimbabwe Frontline Volume 1, Buena Vista Social Club, Tito Puento Greatest Hits.

Books: Currently reading Stella Adler on America's Master Playwrights: Eugene O'Neill, Thornton Wilder, Clifford Odets, William Saroyan, Tennessee Williams, William Inge, Arthur Miller, Edward Albee

Food: Good coffee and chocolate croissants. Greek, Italian, New Mexican (Sopapillas). Black and white layer cake, fresh raspberries, grilled salmon. Vietnamese, Japanese, Ethiopian...

TV: It's my opinion that The Andy Griffith Show was one of the finest shows ever on television. The writing, chemistry of the cast and the comedy of Don Knotts...

Are you still here? That's dedication!
The six things I could never do without
A book, some music, my cats, reading glasses, social interaction and my bicycle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Food - writing ideas - what's for breakfast - what movie to see - what's the meaning of it all - what's for lunch - why people can't stop texting for one minute - what's for dinner...
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing a movie marathon.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 42–61
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
You're a stand up guy. You have a profile and photos. You're looking for a serious relationship.

If I don't respond it's not meant to be unkind, just that I don't think we're a match.

I do wish everyone well in his or her search for romance (or at least coffee with a nice person).
