My Self-Summary

I dislike these, so I am firmly boycotting this essay! Live conversation or bust...

What I’m doing with my life

Sometimes it feels as if I am wandering aimlessly. However, the direction in which I am going is medical school. I hesitate to say medicine because I am quickly learning that there are so many steps in this process that one is likely to stumble at any one of them. Don't be confused, I am not doubting myself; rather, I am simply impressed by Life's uncanny ability to suddenly pull a 180.

I’m really good at

Figuring out my zebras don't get ulcers, proselytizing Webster to introduce new colloquialisms on a yearly basis, hand crafting small plastic polar bears that defecate root beer jelly beans and/or rabeprazole sodium (whatever suits your needs), walking on water, saving small children from burning buildings, and, of course, scaling K2 with one arm tied behind my back.

The first things people usually notice about me

Engaged in conversation where smiles ensue

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Into the Wild, Mountains Beyond Mountains, Science Lessons: What the Business of BioTech Taught Me About Management, Slaughterhouse Five, Animal Farm, Survival of the Sickest, The D.O.'s, The Terminal Man, Where the Wild Things Are, anything by Roald Dahl or Shell Silverstein :)

Shawshank Redemption...i just realized i like a lot of movies and that I don't feel like writing them all. I also just realized that in writing this I could have just as easily written what movies I like. Too late to turn back now. I like a lot of movies...

Literally everything but COUNTRY! (50/50 on opera, it really just depends)

We are one of the few animals on this earth that has a seemingly unlimited food supply (provided that you are in a 1st world country)and the ability to enjoy a wide range of flavors, so..."I say we should live to eat and not eat to live."

The six things I could never do without

Interestingly enough I don't need air, food, or water...however, what I do need, first and foremost, is to laugh. I need to learn something new everyday (otherwise, what the hell is the point), I need human contact, knowing that my existence makes a difference in the lives of others, meeting new people/perspectives (not that I necessarily adopt either p's), and of course, who the hell could live without pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanocon!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Ways to make this world a better place...seriously.

On a typical Friday night I am

Studying, wishing I was out or Out and feeling guilty about not studying :?

Usually reading, watching a crummy but strangely captivating T.V. show on my pc, or randomly going out to the mission to have random conversations with random people.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am currently in Palm Coast Florida (non-profit work), but I will be back in SF in a few months :)
