I'm artistic, honest, loving, caring, ambitious, and I try to live my life day by day as often as I can. I love people, I love life, and I would like to find a someone I can call my best friend. People wonder where I got my screen name. I was named after my Mom's favorite actor and poet, both named Gustavo. The poet was Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, a Spanish post-romanticist writer of poetry and short stories, now considered one of the most important figures in Spanish literature. His work approached the traditional poetry and themes in a modern way, and he is considered the founder of modern Spanish lyricism. I think that's cool.

Rediscovering myself and reevaluating what is important to me after having lost my Mother suddenly last year. Understanding that it may take some time to find the woman I feel is worth my time and affection. I deserve a good woman, and I'm willing to wait and do the work to find her. See? chivalry is not dead!

Being honest, and being me. Being that person one can count on to be there when you need someone to do so.

Books: I like a good mystery. Fantasy (like Sword and sorcery, warriors clad in armor-type stuff). Graphic novels. Tao Te Ching,
actor autobiographies.

Movies: This is my favorite form of entertainment. I love movies. I can say I'm not a huge fan of horror films, mostly because they don't frighten me, and nowadays the only horrifying thing about them is how they're made. To name someo fo my favorites: Amadeus, Braveheart, GlenGary GlenRoss, True Romance, Leon, Amelie, Super, District 13, Yojimbo, Titus, Equilibrium, The Lion in Winter, British Gangster films, Taladega Nights... I could go on.

Shows: Lie to Me, Luther, Breaking Bad, The Shield, The Wire, Oz, Burn Notice, Being Human.

Music: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Damien Rice, John Morrison, Bjork, Tom Waits, Bach, Rufus Wainwright, Erasure, Depeche Mode, The Strokes. I like a lot of different types of music. I'm a big fan of late 60's, and 70's music.

Food: I like to cook, I like to eat. I have no favorite cuisine , really. I'm unfortunately allergic to shellfish, and will try most things, but not just anything put in front of me. I like to eat fairly healthy, and have recently got into juicing, but every once in a while (and I mean every once in a while) I don't mind a little cheat food. I am not a vegetarian, but I have no problem eating my veggies. But I don't deny myself anything if I want it, including meat. I promise, though, if you are a vegetarian, to respect that, and eat my burger when you're not around. What is life all about if you can't have what you want every once in a while?

Why it is that I get an average of 15+ views a week, an hardly any emails or dates result from them.

Just about anything and everything. I have a curious and opportunistic mind.

How I can sell off everything I own and get a camper van so i can go anywhere I want. Or maybe to ride my motorcycle to South America and just drive to wherever I end up...

How I can make myself and all of my friends and family financially comfortable so we don't ever have to worry about anything.

Also, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to enjoy my life. I know it can be taken at any moment, so I try not to live my life with regret, or feeling like I'm doing something that is wasting the precious time I have here.

What I can do to help other people. I just got back to CA, but I'm looking for something to do to help out others. Maybe we can do something charitable together?

I find it odd that most people think this question is sexual in nature and somehow prying into your innermost thoughts. Why are people afraid to admit anything? "I'm not going to tell you" is not an answer. Be creative. Be brave. It's asking you the most private thing you ARE willing to admit. It doesn't have to be the key to your darkest secrets. It could be as simple as "I like the color brown". Why so serious?
