My self-summary
I'm a Christian first and foremost.

I'm an occasional singer/songwiter and one of the worship leaders at my church (I also make the coffee, because oh boy, I'm a viking when it comes to coffee making) where we work with a lot of inner city kids.

To pay the bills I work at an office in Brentwood doing data entry/analyst type things. Basically it's like "Office Space" without the gangsta rap soundtrack unless it's being played at somebody's desk at a reasonable volume.

After work I like to go to the gym to unwind; weight training mostly although I used to practice yoga and would like to get back into it.

I like challenging myself to new things; for example, the past couple of years I've been teaching myself woodworking and gardening. Varying degrees of success so far, but I'm enjoying myself so I don't mind that not everything's at expert level yet. I'm pretty awesome at sanding though. Or at least holding my sander while it does the work.

I've recently gotten into shooting and just finished my class to get my CCW permit which was a lot of fun and apparently I'm a natural shot.

I'm enjoying being a first time homeowner as well. Mostly because I can tear out a wall if I want to without getting yelled at by my landlord. Because my landlord is me and I'm super easy going.
What I’m doing with my life
Working an office job by day. Writing songs when the mood strikes. Leading worship at my church every other Sunday or so. Enjoying life with my friends and family.
I’m really good at
Bar trivia.

Singing 80s songs at karaoke.

Cooking.

Words With Friends.

Also, Angry Birds.

Angry Words With Birds I'm not so good at though because really; I don't think they understand English let alone English expletives.

And knitting...as long as you want either a hat or a scarf.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been complimented on my smile quite a bit, so I guess that? I'm thinking about getting a Mike Tysonesque face tat though for a nice conversation starter.

Also, people seem to dig my glasses so I guess that's cool?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Bible, Harry Potter books (I won't judge you for Twilight if you won't judge me for these, deal? Just kidding; I'm totally gonna judge you for reading "Twilight" regardless.), Stephen King, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Tom Clancy, etc.

Movies: Too many to list, but The Princess Bride will always be number one I think. In general I usually watch action and/or comedy films with the occasional drama thrown in every once in awhile for good measure.

Music: Same as above, but some perennial faves are Ryan Adams, Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Mumford & Sons, Band of Skulls, Angus & Julia Stone, Butterfly Boucher, The Features, Harrison Hudson, Gungor, Mindy Smith and many others.

Shows: Supernatural, Eureka, Doctor Who, Warehouse 13, HIMYM, Mythbusters, Breaking Bad, Community, Arrested Development, etc.

Food: Sushi, Ethiopian, Italian, Mexican, BBQ, anything really. I'm pretty culinarily open-minded.
The six things I could never do without
Jesus
My friends/family
My guitar
My iPhone
The number 5
Sushi
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Bacon and how I can incorporate more of it into my day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either chilling at home watching some Netflix or out playing pool or occasionally singing karaoke with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have never seen The Notebook, AKA I was not dating anyone when The Notebook came out so I didn't have to.

Also, I once got to be a briefly* onscreen extra for the t.v. show "Nashville".

*Seriously, like 3 seconds, if that--from a distance, and my back was to the camera.
You should message me if
You're a Christian, enjoy karaoke, hate Nickelback and really don't care about the proper pronunciation of the word 'acai'.

Also, if you know how to spell complete sentences without resorting to text speak.
