I am intelligent, cynical, and a romantic.

My Self-Summary

Well, this is a bit arb. I love playing and watching sport - I've played virtually everything at one time or another, but soccer (or football if you're British) is probably my favourite. I also spend lots of time listening to bands that noone else has heard of, reading and playing computer games (sadly enough - hey, I get bored and it helps me pass the time, OK? I'm not one of those guys who spends hours discussing possible locations of the Sword of Whogivesadamnanyway in some arb game). I'm painfully shy at times, but quite extroverted around my friends. I've got a good sense of humour, and enjoy making people laugh.

What I’m doing with my life

Back in the awesome city of Cape Town, doing a Masters degree in Conservation Biology at UCT

I’m really good at

Well, other than my alleged academic talent, nothing really. I'm sort of an all-rounder - I can do a lot of things reasonably without being brilliant at any of them. I'm a good writer, I suppose. And I'm really good at wasting time (like right now, when I should be working)

The first things people usually notice about me

Well, I'm quite tall, that's probably the most obvious thing. And my hair has an independent life of it's own, frequently managing to appear in as embarrassing a fashion as possible. Hence it has to be kept short-ish.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Well, I read a lot, but I enjoy Terry Pratchett. Although I'll read pretty much anything. The Beach ia awesome too (we're still talking about books her, you know). And then, much as my counter-culture inclined soul hates to admit it, I enjoy Dan Brown, and Harry Potter. The shame...

My favourite movies - stuff like Indiana Jones retains an eternal coolness, otherwise, well, it's hard to think of anything that outstanding, really. Lord of the Rings, I suppose, and then there's always Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Napoleon Dynamite and The Princess Bride... Jeez, I sound like such a commercial sell-out. I'd like to think that I'm not really that commercial in my tastes - I just can't think of anything really cool and alternative right now. Musically, alternative rock, in all it's glorious forms - so long as it's interesting and just a bit different. Food - I'm not fussy at all as long as there aren't any mushrooms.

The six things I could never do without

Music, sport, friends, laughter, my pets, good stories

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything. Nothing. That's a pretty honest answer, actually.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably trying to find something fun to do

You should message me if

Hey, if you've read all this, and you're interested, why not? (even if you live on the other side of the world). Which you probably do.
