Hi!

I'm Adam. I'm a software engineer at a local investment management firm. It's getting a little boring there; might be time to find something more interesting. If I were to win the lottery I'd still write software though (but I'd do it on the beach in Hawaii instead of an office).

I like to laugh. A lot. Some people may describe me as a bit of a trickster.

I grew up in the Rochester area, went to college in Pennsylvania and lived in Maryland for three years after school. I moved back to Rochester to be closer to my family and friends.

I really like beer a lot. These days I drink it for the flavor and not to get drunk. Although in my fraternity days I used to drink it to get drunk. I also like coffee a lot... I like it so much that I roast my own beans.

Continuously trying to humbly improve my abilities at work - I can always get better. At some point I might be interested in managing a software development group or maybe starting my own business. I'm starting to develop a sense for the business side of things... I was never interested in it until recently.

Also still trying to be social and go out and meet new people although that gets difficult at my age with all of my friends getting married and starting to have kids.

I don't really have any favorite books... I read a lot of software books for my job although I've started to read more fiction now that I have an iPad. I started reading Atlas Shrugged... I stopped around 500 pages in or so. Part of me wants to finish it up but the other part of me was just sick of that book.

As far as movies go, I'm a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies, as well as the Bond movies. But I like ALL types of movies, I'm a big movie guy. I have around 300 DVDs I think but once Blu-Ray came out I pretty much gave up buying the things and just use Netflix now. I really liked Inception.

My favorite show of all time is Arrested Development... that show is perfect. Current favorite shows include Dexter, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The League, Archer, Weeds, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock, The Office, Community, Flight of the Conchords and many many others. I watch a lot of shows but never channel surf.

My favorite band is Radiohead. I've been into them for more than 10 years now although I don't really like their latest album. I also like Kanye West, The Beatles, Muse, U2, Sigur Ros, Foo Fighters, Beck and a lot more. My iPod is fairly eclectic. I..... I just can't get into country.

Food - I really really really love sandwiches! But I also like pretty much everything else. I need to eat more Thai food.

Very happy; I like to work but I like a break too! Sometimes I go out on Friday, sometimes I don't. I'm OK either way.
