My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in the Chicago area, and I'm currently a third year law student at Wash U.

After college, I worked for a non-profit in India for the better part of a year. It changed my way of looking at things, and also gave me the travel bug. I have a long list of places I'd like to see, but since I won't be getting around to them soon, I've settled for taking long road trips. I'm trying to get to every state.

I play a few instruments decently well, and I like to jam out with others. I like movies from the golden age of Hollywood and music from the swing era. I'm kind of an old soul. I love the sunday comic strips.

I've volunteered for the last few years with Alzheimer's patients, and I like being outdoors. I try to go on a few camping trips a year.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
About two thirds of the way through law school, so studying and working a lot, and trying to stay involved in all the other things I like. It's a hard balance, but necessary for the sake of both sanity and quality of life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a decent guitar and piano player. I can also touch my nose with my tongue. And do backflips.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like a lot of older classic rock music, but I think my favorite music lately tends to have a folk-y feel to it. A few of my favorites are Elton John, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Some of the more current music acts that I really like are the Fleet Foxes, Trampled by Turtles, the Mountain Goats, the Arcade Fire, and the Black Keys.

I'm not a big TV watcher, but some of my favorite movies are Almost Famous, Annie Hall, the original Star Wars trilogy, North by Northwest, the French Connection, old Mel Brooks comedies, Memento, Inception.

The last really good book I read was 100 Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I also really enjoyed Johnny Got his Gun, Into the Wild, A Tale of Two Cities, Stranger in a Strange Land, Slaughterhouse 5 (and most of Vonnegut's work), and On the Road.
