My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a hopeless romantic, a nerd, singer/actor, wanna be chef/baker, a good listener, and I've been told a good friend. I've also heard from many people that I'm an old fashioned guy at heart. I originally hail from MD (DC Metro area), went to school in Ohio (OSU), and now reside in NYC. Well... I'm a bit of a geek most of the time, whether it be about music, theatre, food, or comic books! I LOVE cooking and entertaining, having a blast, and just enjoying life as much as I can. What else can I say to summarize...? I have a fondness for argyle socks and my favorite flavor of ice cream is strawberry? I mean, I've got to leave something to talk about. I try my darndest to be a kind, honest person, and to remember that compassion is highly undervalued in the world today. And while days can be rough, especially in the city... it's nice to find a reason to smile as often as possible, whether it be a good song or a tasty sandwich or an off-colored joke, there can be a reason to smile. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I'm traveling the world as a singer on a luxury cruise line. Just finished a cruise contract last year that took me to Japan, China, Vietnam, Australia, and many other places. Right now I'm headed to Europe for awhile doing the same thing, this time hitting up Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Monaco, and France. :) I love traveling, but never hurts to find a reason to stay home.

Video from a recent performance.

If you want, this is a sample of what I do... a friend made this for me from a bunch of clips over the years.

I studied operatic voice and graduated from The Ohio State University, and have since moved to NYC to pursue a wonderfully stable career in performing! When I'm not working at that, I'm working some unsatisfying "survival" job, but hey, I've never had a problem paying my dues. I've been out there working for a living since I was 14. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing, cooking, eating what I cook, smiling through awkward situations, and knowing how to laugh no matter what life throws at you.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. Apparently my whole face lights up, dimple and all. :)

Also, my hair... my hair can get these crazy Shirley Temple curls if I let it go. At this point it's very long on the top, so it's hard to miss. Hahaha!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm pretty much up for all kinds of books, movies, shows, music and food. I do have a particular fondness for old movies and musicals, like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Houseboat, Singin' in the Rain, and other movies like that. Shows? I love Modern Family, Community, Fringe, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, 30 Rock.... the first X-Men animated series. The nerd in me also loves Dr. Who and Sherlock (if only they produced more than 3 episodes a season)!

With music, I listen to everything from classical and opera, to indie and pop radio, it's really hard for me to list specific artists and composers... too many. Though for musical theatre, I will say my favorite composers are Stephen Sondheim, Adam Guettel, Michael John LaChiusa, and Jason Robert Brown's older material.

Food... I'm a foodie, and always willing to try something new. I cook all kinds myself, but I can get all traditional and whip up a traditional Puerto Rican meal. I also LOVE Thai food and sushi.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
-favorite chef's knife
-glasses or contacts (literally can't do without, I'm kinda blind without them)
-friends/family (my friends have kind of become my family)
-food/water (kinda essential right?)
-a comfy hoodie....unless it's summer, then this changes to shorts and a tank top. Especially in the city!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I could try to be profound and say something about contemplating the complexities of life... but I guess for me, I try to think about good things in the future, the things I look forward to? Yeah. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Really depends on the Friday, and who is involved. On any given Friday I can be found:
-hanging out with friend(s) in a casual environment
-hanging out with friend(s) in a restaurant/bar/club environment
-Spending a night in either alone or with a friend, making dinner, watching movies, drinking wine, and so on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am... a comic book nerd. I know, silly right? I have retained a massive amount of useless knowledge concerning the Marvel comics universe and some of the DC universe. Yep... nerd. :) Haha! Besides that, I'm a pretty open person. Just ask.
