I'm a very active and outdoorsy person. If it's a nice day out and I have any amount of free time, I feel compelled to go outside and do something. Anything. Some of my most beloved possessions are my hiking boots, bicycle, and skis. I try to run 3 miles or more 5 days a week (Though it's definitely harder to make that happen in the winter), and I try to go on outdoorsy adventures every weekend. Even if I can't find people to go with, I've been known to go on nature hikes or long bicycle rides by myself.
I think my love of the outdoors also bring a good sense of adventure to my personality. I am a very adventurous person in all the ways that a person can be adventurous. I'll try anything once, whether it's a big scary ski trail, something new and quirky on a dinner menu, or going to see a band I've never heard of. If you're a person who isn't willing to try something new at least once in a while, I doubt we're going to get along. However, there are definitely some things that I know I like, and some things that I know I don't like.
Education is something that is very important to me, and not just in the formal sense of the word. Education takes place in many forms, and not just in a classroom or a lecture hall. I try to learn something new every day, whether it be reading a good book, flipping through the newspaper, meeting new people, visiting a strange new place, or even just finishing the last few boxes on a crossword puzzle.
I'm a very driven person, both professionally and personally. Once I set a goal, I pursue it relentlessly until it is accomplished. I think this outlook on life has really helped me find a good education, good job, good home, and most importantly good friends.
