I thrive on the Arts and creative expression. That’s my core. I’m extremely fortunate to have a daughter who shares that with me.
I made an independent film years ago, but most of my artistic expression today is through writing. A day at the art gallery, an afternoon at the theater or an evening spent with a good movie is bliss. Reading is also a great passion. (GoodReads and I have become very close companions.)
Festivals are a great deal of fun. I'm not too keen on "pack 'em in like sardines" events, but having some room to roam, wonder, and discover is a delight.
My job allows me to contribute to the development of others which is both rewarding and fulfilling. I live a short distance from wooded park lands, so long walks clear the mind and recharge the body's batteries. (My day always includes 30-minutes of exercise.)
The evening doesn’t end much better than sitting on the back porch with a good friend, drinking a glass of wine, sharing creative ideas...or settling the world's problems, then retiring for mutual closeness. I relish those quiet times.
I'm a life-long learner and naturally curious about many things, especially about other cultures. (My ultimate vacation was 3-weeks in Japan.)
If you are artistically inclined in any capacity and are willing to share your creative ideas, you will have my grateful attention.
The child in me is still alive, well, and seeking engagement. I bring him out to play whenever I have the opportunity. He loves magic.
