I don't eat plain chocolate...meaning to say that chocolate by
itself is not very exciting to me. Now, if you combine it with
peanut butter, or if it's covering a nut or a pretzel, I love it.
Aside from the peanut butter, I guess I like a little bit of crunch
to go along with my chocolate, for example, Twix candy bars are
awesome, as are Kit Kats or Butterfingers. Texture is very
important to me...
Now, what does that really say? Absolutely nothing! Or, perhaps, it
could explain all the great mysteries in life...perhaps the
questions of god or gods and the creation of the universe and the
afterlife and the ultimate question, "Why do we exist?" all boils
down to chocolate. Strangely, I don't even eat chocolate that
I am a writer/poet/musician/artist in my soul (which means I don't
really get paid for any of it, thus I have a day job in food
service management for a local school district).
I love water, but can't swim. I love nature and books and movies
and wit and truth and an open-minded, twisted sense of humor.
Laughter is very important to me, and I used to be somewhat of a
class clown...working around children enables me to continue to be
one...and I love it.
Oh, wait! I'm supposed to say: I love the outdoors, I love playing
sports, I love dancing, yet I also love a night at home cooking and
watching a movie.
What I’m doing with my life
Working. Writing. Laughing...and dancing by myself. I also have a
podcast that I truly enjoy doing--it allows me the freedom to say
the things I cannot normally say in my day to day social life. I
enjoy thinking outside the box. If I am not creating, I am not
I’m really good at
Well, now, it would be quite pompous to say I am "really good" at
anything. I leave this for others to decide.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Kerouac, Vonnegut, Hunter S., Shakespeare, King, most great
philosophers (if only food for thought)...too many movies, and way
too many musicians and artists to name; besides, it's more fun to
discover these things as people get to know each other. I love to
cook, and have done so all of my life, thus I will eat almost
anything...and I love beer! Stouts and Porters are my favorite, but
I also throw back some "cheap" beer like Lone Star or PBR.
A good Cabernet also goes down well.
The six things I could never do without
Sagan--my cat buddy.
A creative outlet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...things most other people don't think about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending quality time with a great group of friends, who are my family. Usually by the pool, or at a dive bar, but I also love to check out live music from time to time (mainly jazz at this point in my life). I truly enjoy quality time with someone I find interesting and fun--or just playing an amazing video game or writing alone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I listen to the Bee Gees.
You should message me if
You are a decent human being: genuine, non-judgmental, empathetic, etc. I'd rather be surrounded by good people with little or no interests in common, as opposed to cruel and vindictive humans who share all of my passions.
