My self-summary
I actually don't have a very hard time describing myself, but I'm not sure that this is my best attempt:

I am thoughtful and fun-- sometimes a little too serious for how little I believe anything matters. I am very curious. I've got a subversive streak, but I like to get along. I like to ask questions. I'm usually pretty direct, sometimes overly explicative. I am a people watcher, but really I'll watch anything. Sometimes I think I'm a jerk, but sometimes I think I'm quite nice. 8/10 overall.
What I’m doing with my life
What am I doing with my life???

I wouldn't call myself a farmer, but I've been working on farms for a few years now, and would like to continue to provide and engage people with whole foods-- and maybe dismantle the industrial military complex or something? [wink!]

Before farming, I was at school in Cambridge for a while. Before I left, I studied EECS, but I mostly learned about brains. I also did a stint in EXTREMELY SERIOUS COFFEE, which-- as I'm sure you can imagine-- was extremely serious.

Basically, I'm just trying to learn a lot, be nice to people, and have some fun. I think those are some good aspirations, and if I can enable others to do the same, then I'll die happy.
I’m really good at
writing straight across unlined paper; reading out loud.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love spicy foods and acidic foods, and creamy, sweet foods. My tastes vary wildly by season, but I always eat eggs for breakfast.

I tend to prefer nonfiction to fiction across basically all media, and I really wonder what that says about me.

I like music with a lot of words in it. I'm currently listening to mostly hip hop, but I also enjoy rock and roll, for whatever that's worth. Anything really visceral is something I can probably get into.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm afraid I spend a lot of time thinking about thinking. At times this provides insight, but more often it merely distracts, and delays action and clarity. Whatever!

I love very much to describe and narrate, and a lot of my time is spent doing just that [although truthfully, this is just another form of thinking about thinking].

I think a lot about other people: about how they might be thinking and feeling at the moment and what motivates that, etc. I think a lot about how to relate to other people, and what questions they might like to be asked.

I am very interested in systems and how they work. Ecologies, economies, cultures, and brains are all good examples [also the system that contains all of these]. I think a lot about farm-type systems, and how to use want to satisfy want.

I think about sensation a lot-- smells and tastes-- what's going on on my skin.

I sometimes worry.
On a typical Friday night I am
I feel like I have an easier time characterizing how I do things, rather than what I'm doing. Fridays, I am doing things with excitement and expectation, and maybe a smidge of impatience.

But I think this question might more be getting at what I do for fun, which is hang out and talk about things with my friends. I also like to cook elaborate meals, and sometimes go to bars. By myself, I read, write, sing, dance, craft, cook, and stare off into space.

If you're curious and confident, and you've somehow managed to temper your ambition and idealism with the kind of apathy you have to cultivate in a cold, unfeeling universe such as this. LOL!
