My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"Give me a Lever, and a place to stand, and i will move the World."

Recent transplant to NJ, i just drove across the entire damn world to get here. Well okay, not all of it, but a reasonable stretch. Tucson was my starting point, six hours from the other ocean.

i'm a 27 year old irish/scottish/filipino guy (weird mix, i know. ask me about it.) i've seen and done a lot of things. i love to drive, and i've done it rather a lot - more than most people three times my age. i try to be self-sufficient and self-reliant, but it doesn't always go so well for me. . . still, i do the best i can.

i have been described as protective. not possessive, but i subconsciously will put myself between people i care about and harm. i tend to be honest, sometimes shy, friendly, and sarcastic. i tend toward the chivalrous, opening doors, buying dinner, all that sort of thing.

i love thinking about the Universe, the mysteries and wonder of it. stars, planets, galaxies. if you've ever seen the old COSMOS series by Carl Sagan, that's my favorite show ever. if you haven't, you should watch it. gives a new appreciation for pretty much everything.

in other news, my car just exploded. no, really. whump.

quick note, if i look at your profile more than once i'm not being a stalker, i'm being extremely scatterbrained, which is something that happens sometimes. also i tend to remember people on here by their profiles instead of their photos, so don't be weirded out.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just got a job as security near Atlantic City.. it's not what i plan to do for the rest of my life, but it's stable, steady, and income. i can't argue with that when there are so many unemployed.

in the near future i plan to get a CISCO certification, and start working as a network tech; computers is what i do, and i like doing it. as they say, find a job you love and you'll never work another day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fixing things. everything. i say that there's nothing i can't repair, given sufficient resources and time; i have yet to be proven wrong. this is probably because i'm stubborn at times, and i just keep plodding along, working and worrying a thing into place and function. my areas of expertise are computers and mechanical devices, such as engines. they're wonderfully logical.

i'm also an excellent listener. i've been told that i'd be a good bartender, if i knew anything about drinks.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Uhhhhhhhh. . .going with my newly-short very unruly standy up hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
favorite books: the Dies The Fire trilogy, by SM Stirling. i also read copious amounts of science fiction and fantasy, or if i'm bored i'll just read whatever's under my hand. literally, anything.

favorite Music: tough. my musical tastes run the gamut, from Dave Matthews to Van Canto to Bad Religion. also, Dr. Demento type stuff. i avoid most rap, R&B, that sort. not my bucket of fish. lately i've been REALLY into Streetlight Manifesto.

TV: SG1, COSMOS, Mythbusters. sciency stuff, thinky stuff. some pew pew of course, i am a guy =)

Favorite food: Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. information. i'm always learning about something, absorbing knowledge.
2. transport. i've gotta be able to get up and go if i need to. or want to.
3. my friends. i have few, but those i have are close.
4. the bare necessities - air, food, water, shelter.
5. the internet. it's how i keep in touch with people that i don't see often.
6. My dog, Feets.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Astronomy, the big nothing outside our atmosphere and the things that inhabit it. where do i go from here? choices and their impact. how to get over the next hurdle, or through the next day. where i'm going to get another car. Whether I should get a motorcycle instead. Open to suggestions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, unfortunately. such is life. tuesday and wednesday are my weekend.
You should message me if

If, if, if. look, just do it. you won't be disappointed, i think, and we could probably both use another friend at least.

as an aside, if i ever send an email or text with "u", "b", numbers in place of non-numeric words, or using any form of ebonics, contact the police. it means i've been killed and someone else took over my profile.
