I am 28 years old and live in Boston, but moved here from California, where I lived for 18 years. I was born in a tiny city in Wyoming, but moved to California when I was 5. Then moved here when I was 23 or so. Had been dating a girl in California for 4 years, then she got a job here in Boston, so I moved here with her. Things didn't work out, but I loved the city so much that I decided to stick around regardless.

I never know what to write in these things, but I am very laid back and just try to be an open and honest guy in whatever I do! I am 6'2", dark brown hair, brown eyes, size 13 shoes, an eyebrow piercing (just removed it actually), and that is all the pointless physical details I can think of. I am half scottish and half irish, so clearly I am ok holding my liquor. And now that I've stated that I will end up sick on my next trip to the bar.

In my free time I like playing video games, chatting, reading, working out, going for walks, going out to dinner and drinks. I am somewhat of a geek and like comic books and video games as I mentioned. But I am not too overboard with any of it. I wear my geek well. I like to think of myself as laid-back, and don't like drama. However, upon introspection and talking to my friends, they assured me that I am anything but laid back. I guess I just want to be that way, but am too neurotic to actually achieve it. Regardless, I still hate unnecessary drama.

I graduated from California State: Fresno in 2005 with my degree in Criminology. Right now I do like my job, as stressful as it is, but can see a change in my future.

I have a hard time with meeting new people. It takes me a while to get to know others and let my guard down enough to have fun. So I wish i had closer friends, but it just seems to take a while.

I am not really looking for anything serious, even though its been a couple years since our break-up. It isn't that I am not over it or something, I just don't want a relationship. Hmm, anything else, feel free to ask.

I am a supervising counselor for The Home for Little Wanderers at a group home, residential program for kids that have been abused/neglected. In general I work day-to-day and while I have plans for things I want in the future, I try to just do what I want in the moment. Because, and not to be morbid, but you never know how much time you have left, so why spend time doing things that make you unhappy.

Listening, being a good friend, hanging out with, being a drinking buddy, video games, being quiet, over-thinking things, having patience with people but not circumstances, drinking beer, and being thoughtful.

Working. I have an interesting schedule, I work wed-sat evenings, so typically I work till 11, then come home and crash from my 10 hour shift with abusive children (yes abusIVE children).
