My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Nerdy movies/music/video games/books guy with a dark and dry sense of humor (apparently, greatly influenced by Daria, among others) looking for someone to hang out with and possibly more, depending on how things go.

A note about the questions: These aren't totally reliable.

Unabashed bleeding heart liberal. Open-minded and generally pretty accepting of people.

Afflicted with wanderlust. Must travel. Will travel.

Cynic tempered with strong idealism. Mostly realistic. Overall, I try to be a nice person, despite the roughness around the edges. I consider compassion and kindness essential traits.

I'm very much a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. I'll dress nicely if the occasion calls for it, but generally, I like to keep it relaxed.

My penchant for using 60s and 70s slang is compensation for cool. Dig?

tl:dr: I'm an extremely liberal, wanderlusting, 60's slang slinging, sarcastic, sardonic, outwardly cynical/inwardly idealistic, casually dressed dork who once had a volcano island lair.

My screen name refers to two tattoos (Hah! Alliteration!) I have. And not related to explosives.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm in grad school, pursuing a Masters in History. My area of study appears to be within religious and cultural history.

Other than that, trying to make up for lost time and doing the best I can with what have.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
How sad is it I'm having trouble coming up with something?

Does being good at sarcasm count? My sarcasm skills are pretty sweet.

I'm an information sponge. I can find most countries on a map (Africa and the Balkins are tricky). I have a really good sense of direction. Puns, I make them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. Glasses? I mean, they're there. On my face.

I've heard people say my facial hair. So, there's that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music: Queen, Pink Floyd, Aloe Blacc, Muse, Marvin Gaye, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, Opeth, Ghost, Phil Ochs, Cynic, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metalachi, The Who, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserable, Man of La Mancha, Ennio Morricone, Dr. Dog, etc., and etc., and etc., to the last syllable of recorded time.

(There is a lot of bands and artists I listen to. Putting my iTunes to shuffle plays cool jazz to heavy metal to some avant guard bullshit, and everything in between. But, overall, I love prog-rock and hard rock.)

Movies: Amadeus, Gandhi, The Killing Fields, Princess Mononoke, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Thirst, Nightmare Before Christmas, Black Dynamite, Phantom of the Opera, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Akira, In the Loop, Universal Monster Movies, B-Movies, Hammer Horror movies, Alien/s, James Bond movies, Brazil, Star Wars, Star Trek, all things Monty Python, etc..

Books: Mostly non-fiction. I don't have much time for recreational reading, unfortunately.

TV: I don't have cable anymore. Anything I want to watch, I can find a stream of it. But, I love Venture Bros., Gundam (for some reason), Attack on Titan, documentaries, The Simpsons.

As a general rule, when it comes to movies, music, TV, etc.: the weirder, the better.

Food: Many, many things.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Giant robot
-WikiBear (Check it)
-Dr. Pepper.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Tattoo ideas; nature of good vs. evil; existence of gods; the creation of gods; religious subjects; historical subjects; boobs; travel, time travel, if there is some sort of way to become either a mutant from X-Men or a Time Lord. Or both. Both would be cool.

Now to think of a name...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home watching Netflix, a DVD, playing a game, reading something: book, article, something on the internet.

Sometimes I go outside. The horror...

Hang out with friends somewhere or watching shitty B-movies for the comedic value.

Recently, I became part of a cabal. We gather from time to time and play games with people's lives.

And by "games" I mean Settlers of Catan, and by "people's lives" I mean the imaginary people inhabiting my settlements or cities.

Behold my works, ye mighty, and despair.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes cry at movies. No real shame.

Beyond that, I admit nothing.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm not looking for a relationship based around one being superior and in charge of the other. I may be a somewhat loud personality, but I'm looking for a relationship built more on sharing than determining who "wears the pants."

If you're into lively discussion about anything from the arts to international relations to politics to philosophy. Anything is up for conversation.

But, overall, if you feel inclined to message me, do so. But, please, do more than just say "hi." I have no idea how to respond to that other then "hey," and then the conversation sort of stalls.
