What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Systems and interactions fascinate me - from a biological basis all the way up to the politics and relationships of individuals. I work at a hedge fund that focuses on investments in biotechnology companies. I get to leverage a financial background while researching the latest treatments for various diseases.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, reading between the lines, calling bullshit on people, developing opinions, eating, wit, dropping dad jokes all day long.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes are quite blue.

Books: Heart of Darkness, The Great Gatsby, Welcome to the Monkey House, Labyrinths (Borges, not to be confused with the Bowie movie with the muppets, though that isn't so bad either), Where Keynes Went Wrong. A regular New Yorker reader above anything else.

Movies: like a lot of nature and exposé documentaries, also anything with lots of plot twists, character development, spies, portrayals of the rawest nature of humanity.

Music: Phoenix, The Twelves, Ratatat, Daft Punk, Eric Prydz. Generally EDM but more on the deep and tech house side. Any mixes by Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Carl Cox, MK, Atish or Deep Jesus. Philip Glass or deep ambient music at the office.

TV: don't watch much, but I like 30 rock, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Guilty pleasure - have seen every episode of Stargate and Battlestar Galactica.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I guess the obvious ones are basic nutrients and Game of Thrones on DVD.

I have lived without different material things for differening periods of time. I think I made out OK. Life is what you make it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If I'm too old for space camp.

Why I bought a Kindle yet still order everything in paperback.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting dinner, going out for cocktails with people, the occasional warehouse party. Trying to avoid the irish bar-type scene whenever possible. Trying to stay with the electronic scene despite it seemingly becoming played out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I lost in the first round of the spelling bee in fourth grade.

You've read this far down my page without managing to hit the "X" button.

You're independent, intense, chill, don't want to be a couch potato all the time, want to travel, and are capable of going out to drink without making the duck face.
