My self-summary
arts over sports
intensity over moderation
jest over formality
deep house over everything else
What I’m doing with my life
Systems and interactions fascinate me - from a biological basis up to the politics and relationships of individuals. I'm an investor in the biotechnology industry by trade. I get to leverage a financial background while researching the latest treatments for various diseases. I actually love my job, though I generally think most finance jobs are kind of stupid.
I’m really good at
Listening, reading between the lines, calling bullshit on people, developing opinions, wit, dropping dad jokes all day long.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes are quite blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Heart of Darkness, The Great Gatsby, Welcome to the Monkey House, Labyrinths (Borges, not to be confused with the Bowie movie with the muppets, though that isn't so bad either), Where Keynes Went Wrong. A regular New Yorker reader above anything else.

Movies: anything sci-fi, nature and exposé documentaries, also anything with lots of plot twists, character development, spies.

Music: Bedouin, Lee Burridge, Adriatique, Solomun, MK, Atish, Behrouz, The Deep, Deep Jesus. Phoenix, The Twelves, Daft Punk, Eric Prydz. Philip Glass or deep ambient music at the office.

TV: don't watch much, but I like 30 rock, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Guilty pleasure - have seen every episode of Stargate and Battlestar Galactica.
The six things I could never do without
I guess the obvious ones are basic nutrients and Game of Thrones on DVD.

I have lived without different material things for differening periods of time. I think I made out OK. Life is what you make it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I'm too old for space camp.

Why I bought a Kindle yet still order everything in paperback.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying a new restaurant, going out for cocktails with people, the occasional warehouse party. Trying to avoid the irish bar-type scene whenever possible. Trying to stay with the electronic scene despite it seemingly becoming played out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I lost in the first round of the spelling bee in fourth grade.
You should message me if
You're living your life with passion and intensity, you only want to be a couch potato some of the time, and you like to travel and experience all the things.
