My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hmmm... I'm on here because my friend said you meet really nice people. I am willing to talk and listen to anyone about anything. I get mad at cops when they give women tickets. I don't like to argue. I don't like nastiness. I don't like jealousy. I love listening to people. Movies and books make me very happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a location sound technician. I do audio on tons of indies, commercials, websites, webisodes, blah blah. I'm very great at placing lavs on individuals'. Im also a screenwriter. Sold my first script to Disney in 2003 and became a member of the WGAE. Got very lucky back then. Recently I have been writing and producing our own micro-budget, crime and horror, shorts and features. We are actually releasing our first horror feature this summer and I am so excited!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Soccer, Rocks, Papers, Scissors. Stratego, Trivial pursuit, lockpicking, writing scripts that collect dust in studio storage rooms,Comic book knowledge, Dungeons&Dragons(not kidding), writing scripts that get rewritten and then collect dust in studio storage rooms, teaching a class 3 times a year on how to pitch and get your script made.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Two eyes. Two eyes that change color with my mood! I've been told I have nice pheremones- isn't that a nice way of just being told that you're not too handsome but have something else about you?

Okay I'm gonna babble like a freak about this stuff: I like Russian Lit, Pulp lit, Noir, Westerns, Sci fi, BOB DYLAN and punk rock. I'm a huge fan of John Houston, Altman, and Kubrick. I also love graphic novels. Ed Brubaker and Warren Ellis are amazing! I like lots of music- Bob Dylan, Jesus and the Mary Chain, The Pixies, The Vibrators, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, The Boys, New Order, The Who, The Ronnettes, The Crystals, The Ramones, Tommy James, Joan Jett, The Mendoza Line(does anyone else like these guys?) Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop. Not disco, te. Movies. My favorite crime/heist movies are 'The friends of Eddie Coyle, The Departed, The Asphalt Jungle, The Killing, Witness, The Maltese Falcon, Dog Day Afternoon, Thief, Heat, Mean Streets, man so many. The best sci fi movie is either Children of men or Blade Runner. My favorite romantic comedy is still 'say anything'. My 3 favorite westerns are The Wild Bunch, The Naked Spur, and Ride the High country. The best year in movies, since 1974 was 2007 but 2010 was great too. I DO LOVE The Gilmore girls(Jess is the wsons. But Hbo- Deadwood, The Wire, Curb your Enthusiasm, Boardwalk Empire, Rome, Game of Thrones and Six Feet Under are/were the greatest.
Favorite fantasy writers are Lynn Flewelling-sp?, Carey(Kushiels Dart is amazing)- and George rr Martin. - I love writers who have a poet's ability and choose to write a page turner. I am in awe of those writers. I love Victor Gishler, Duane Swuerenski, Charlie Stella, Ken Bruen, and Tom Piccirilli; a lot of modern crime writers are so great. They're really doing something new with noir. Blah blah I love to hear myself talk too! Also I saw two movies by a really great director recently: Down Terrace and Kill List by Ben Wheatley. I think he, and the crime writers I mentioned are taking the genre to a really interesting place.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, music, movies, baseball, a pinyata, and a red whistle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Depends what hour of the day it is. 4am fears- shiver. If I would have been more or less popular had I grown up in the early 60's- like would me and my pals have been in a singing group. What would be my number one super power; what my date would want my super power to be? Oh annnnd what is 'prom'? I mean is it 'prom" or 'The Prom'? Is this a generation thing? A regional thing? Perplexing!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either reading or getting dark beer, cider or Makers Mark with friends. Ha i wrote dark 'bear' before, i just saw. I like to drink dark beer with dark bears. I actually have a friend who looks like a bear. Not in a cute way.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I went to three High schools. Two away, and one in New york city. I have scars- one of them a foot long. I can be a scatterbrain.
