Your Notes

Edit your notes

I am witty, curious, and off-beat.

My Self-Summary

I am a humanist and I believe that the sum of our species can be greater than the whole of our parts. I can be a bit of a hippie, and have been accused of being a factory philosopher. I'm never content, that would mean that I was done, and there is always another book to read or person to meet.

What I’m doing with my life

My life is about gathering information. I favour no specific format, audio, video conversation, print or internets are all sources of new ideas and newer ideals. Ideas are viral hitch-hikers that vector through media, and like the pokeymens, I want to catch them all. The more I learn, the more I realize that I need to learn more. All of these ideas process, pick up new bits of information from me and vector on through my artwork and through my music. I support all of this by working (and far too hard for my own good) at the factory.

I’m really good at

Twisting the meaning. Go ahead and tell me why and I'll do my best to change the nature of the universe to give your views meanings that neither of us may have thought of. I also sketch in pencil and pen, write, compose and expound at length on any given subject. That's right, I's mouthy too.

The first things people usually notice about me

You tell me. Probably my eyes. And the fact that I'm a sarcastic s.o.b.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

In order of appearance;

Books: The Selfish Gene by Dawkins, This is Your Brain on Music by Levitin, An Alchemy of Mind by Ackerman, most titles by Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Daniel C. Dennett, and Howard Kunstler.

Movies: Does it have zombies? I'm in. Otherwise, here is a short list of films that I find essential; Logan's Run, Phase IV, Repo Man, Innocent Blood, Beowulf and Grendel, Pootie Tang, The Thing (and just about anything else by John Carpenter), Ghost Dog, Boondock Saints, Fido, The Machine Girl, Dazed and Confused, Shaun of the Dead, and far too many others to mention here.

Music: Here are a few of my favourite bands in no particular order; Dead Kennedys, Guilt Parade, Peaches, Boy Ballz, Swamp Terrorists, Slutbomb, any group featuring Bliss Blood, including Exit 13, I still give it up for Iron Maiden ( \m/ ), and other metal bands like Pantera and Slayer. I enjoy the music of Thrive, Malhavoc, Frontline Assembly, Mozart, Holtz, Beethoven, Sepultura, Buckethead, Danko Jones, Big Sugar (really, who can hate those last two?), Uisce Beatha, Mortiis, Lords of Acid, Hellsau, In Slaughter Natives, Brighter Death Now, and far too many others to mention.

Television: I'll throw up a list of my faves here too; Venture Bros., Clone High, The Tick (both animated and live action, not to mention the comic series), most of the Whedon series, Space 1999 (what can I say, I'm a sucker for 70's sci-fi), Doctor Who up to and including Tom Bakker, Daily show, Colbert, The Boondocks, and so forth. There aren't a lot of new series on this list are there?

Food: Anything I make myself, I'm an awesome cook.

The six things I could never do without

My friends, the persistent illusion of freedom, music, art, good food and creativity.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What can be done on a local level that will change things for the better globally.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working until eleven.

I intrigue you even a little bit.
