My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Generous, kind, loyal, witty, naturally optimistic/stubborn, sort of British, sort of French (plus some other European roots) brown-eyed girl; more cheese-and-wine than beer-and-chips, possibly due to the French thing (but there is a time for beer and chips). Cyclist, greenie (but with the emphasis on environ-, not on -mentalist), a fussy food shopper but not a fussy eater (see job below). Sensible and silly in equal measure. Creative at (random) times.

I've been practising this "being a grown-up" thing for a while, and although I haven't got it quite right yet, I reckon it'd be nice to finally find someone whose imperfections work with mine, and then keep going from there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to change the world in my own small way. Doing a job I love - quite varied, but in a nutshell, working on sustainability stuff and the future of food with various businesses. Plotting new cycling routes to discover more of the British countryside. Enjoying my bike(s). Discovering the slippery slope to total bike geekdom. Enjoying regular Fridays off, because it's not all about the job. Trying to read more books, catch more live music, grow more stuff on my balcony, spend quality time with friends and family, while simultaneously trying to have more time free to just think. Haven't nailed it yet but I'm working on it...

(...and slowly trying to come to terms with the fact that most of you guys apparently only brush your teeth once a day. Hmm.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Organising, making, and fixing stuff. Baking brownies. Planning and decorating for a party. Sleeping in. Looking on the bright side.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Good teeth/nice smile. Nearly arrived on time. Sounds quite English for someone who grew up abroad; has some rather French habits for a Brit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Yes, definitely!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends and family. Bike. Sleep. Some kind of project. Weekend radio (6music).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make this (ok) stupid profile sound more like me (but not THAT much time).

What new, exciting and actually edible concoction I could assemble from what's left in the fridge.

What my best contribution to the world might be.

How to have more time to think.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching up with with friends somewhere between work and home, or cooking dinner for them, or on a train to go see them, or Skyping with the far away ones, or at a gig with them.

Or, maybe, fast asleep on the sofa, after watching the ends of three different films I've seen before, ready to wake again at 3am and wander off to bed, happy in the knowledge I don't have to rush off anywhere in the morning and can take it easy and listen to the birds outside.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a snooze button gold medalist.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're really a bit of a geek, like me. You have a bicycle and you're not afraid to use it.

You're intelligent, willing to share opinions and ideas and to challenge mine. You have a functioning moral compass and bucketloads of integrity, matched by your sense of humour and easy laugh.

You have at least a vague plan for your life, focused mainly on happiness, quality of life and possibly some sense of purpose (rather than, say, salary or job title).

You have mixed European heritage like me, an interest in languages (including weird and wonderful English), or at least an international outlook.

You're not sure about all of the above but you think we might get along all the same.

(But if you're 24, or have uploaded lots of photos of yourself topless in the bathroom, or you're going to be cryptic, best if you just move along.)
