My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
ETA - I've just started kinda seeing someone, and want to see where it goes. Good luck to everyone! :)

"Stiletto"?! I did some dating personality test, and OKC seems to have labelled me some sort of sex crazed lunatic! ;-) Really, I'm sane, honest. And I'd like to think that I'm quite nice to people.

I'm pretty happy with where I am - I love my job, my workmates, my flat and my friends (though, like many, have never-ending intentions to spend more quality time at my gym), and I'm just looking for someone who likes to laugh and who is comfortable talking about something more than just idle gossip and what happened last night on Big Brother. Though a good re-cap of the previous evening's episode of Doctor Who or Heroes is most welcome - I will admit, I have a terrible weakness for quality sci-fi...

I'm an active and avid musician - I play violin with an acoustic trio, and I've been lucky enough to travel to some awesome places and play some brilliant festivals with various bands.

A current favorite activity of mine is to take a rug down to the Meadows on a sunny weekend afternoon, read a book and soak up as much sunshine as this glorious-yet-oft-grey city will allow. It's also becoming a fave activity of my friends too, so our patch of rug tends to grow as more people arrive with their own rugs. Though sometimes one needs to be wary of frisbees and other more spherical objects hurtling through the Meadows with much speed and little regard for their direction of hurtle. (Is hurtle a word?) The Meadows on a sunny day seems to tread a fine line between tranquil and life-threatening - but that's where the thrill lies!

As for my perfect match, well. He must like sunshine and kittens - no vampires or kitten haters please. You know who you are. Oh, unless you're Spike from Buffy - if so, please apply by hitting the "email now" button immediately. Aside from that, I guess I'm just looking for a guy who's on the same wavelength as me. This may require a hearty appreciation of the ridiculous, and perhaps a less-than-cynical view on life. Though cynicism is acceptable in measured doses, as the political landscape may require... You never know who's going to be on the same wavelength though, not until you meet them, so email me - let's go have a coffee.

I am bubbly, independent, and easy-going
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working with a small charity as their IT geek, playing in Gorgeous Edinburgh with my friends, playing music and generally enjoying all that this incredible city has to offer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music. Folk, classical, rock, whatever. I love to play fiddle, and I love to sing. I'm a compulsive harmoniser. If I hear two harmonic lines, I'm forced to add the third. My brothers have great ears for singing too, so you can imagine long car rides when we were kids. We used to sing the Gremlins theme in three part harmony, and then have ourselves in fits of giggles. Bless our parents for tolerating us in the back of the car.

Computers and I have an understanding most of the time. We're pretty cool with each other.

I can knit both continental and english style. And I do a mean woolie cableknit beanie.

I'll laugh at almost anything, unless it's cruelly at the expense of someone else.

(A) Anything by Robin Hobb. Or Peter F Hamilton, Terry Goodkind, Neil Gaiman. There are many more, but those four are the ones whose sequels I will buy without fail. Robin Hobb in particlar - she makes me laugh, gasp, cry and really love her characters.

(B) 5th Element, Serenity, Love Actually, Monty Python's Life of Brian, Star Wars (the old ones!), Willow, Leon, Contact, Amelie

(C) John Mayer, Ben Folds (five mostly, he's become a little too predictable in his old age!), Jamiroquai, Irish folk music - Solas, Lunasa, Andy Irvine & Paul Brady - Alanis Morrisette

(D) Italian, Chinese (real chinese, not this manky western stuff!), Mexican

(E) I'm gonna add fave TV shows: Firefly]], [30 Rock, Dr Horrible, Buffy, Studio 60, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, House, Prisonbreak, Firefly, Star Trek, Desperate Housewives, 24, Doctor Who, Dark Angel, Farscape, Friends, Sex and the City, Firefly, West Wing, Scrubs, Black Books, Heroes, and lastly, Firefly
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Family

My Friends

My Computer

My Violin

My Camera.

My iPod.

- In that order!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm going in life, and when I'm going to be able to get a cat...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching Ugly Betty, tinkering with whatever I can on my computer, or out drinking beers if my friends are persuasive enough.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to LOVE New Kids on the Block, and had a massive 13 year old girlie crush on Donnie Wahlburg. I think perhaps I still do, now that I think about it.

Also? Please don't judge me, but I have a quiet love of Warcraft - I love my Troll Shadowpriest. (Pew pew pew.) I don't let it dominate my life anymore. I swear.
