My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well for one thing I've never been really good at writing self-summaries but I'll give it a try. I'm originally from New York. I moved to Massachusetts several years ago because well, that's where the day took me. I'm a Whovian (the 4th Doctor will always be my favorite) and a Browncoat (still upset that they cancelled Firefly). Also, as you can probably tell, I'm a bit of a geek and proud of it. How outgoing I am with people depends on how comfortable I am with them. I love finding the humor in things and if I can make someone laugh then all the better.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a software engineer and I've had a passion for computers and writing software since I was a kid. I continue to be amazed by the changes the Internet has brought and how much smaller the world is.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I think I've always been able to think outside the box and come up with solutions. Probably the reason I got into computers to begin with.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've always been pretty thin so probably that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy fan. Douglas Adams will probably always be favorite author (he left us too soon). Tolkien is another of my favorites (Hobbit, LOTR, even read the Silmarillion). I've also read the Harry Potter series, A Song of Ice and Fire, American Gods (Neil Gaiman rules), The Hunger Games, etc., etc. I'm a pretty avid reader.

Television: I find that I like a lot of the shows that the BBC have created or are part of like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Torchwood and some older ones like Are You Being Served and the Vicar of Dibley. I like Community and Parks and Recreation. I love the Muppets (Jim Henson also left us too soon). I'm also a fan of cartoons like Family Guy, American Dad, Regular Show, Adventure Time. I miss the old Saturday Morning Cartoons. ;)

Movies: I'm pretty much all over the board with movies. Some of my favorite movies are LOTR, The Princess Bride, and Star Wars. I definitely like the Science Fiction/Fantasy genres the best but I'll basically watch anything as long as it has a good story. Finding myself watching Indie movies more because everything else seems to be remakes of remakes. Does Hollywood have no more writers?

Music: I'm all over the place when it comes to music. I tend to like music with good lyrics but I also like just really good music (Lindsey Stirling comes to mind). My favorite band is probably Rush. Some others are Marian Call, JoCo, CCR, TMBG. Too many to list. Just ask if you want to know more. :)

Food: I would have to say that my favorite food is Italian (I am Italian after all). I've always been a bit of a picky eater but I'm always willing to try new foods.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My glasses
2) A good book
3) Pets
4) An Internet connection ;)
5) Family
6) Hope
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything! ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Same thing I do every night, try to take over the world! Sorry, couldn't resist. No actually my Friday nights typically consist of unwinding in front of the television or reading a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well that seems to go against the whole notion of "private". ;)

You share some of the same interests or think we would get along well. I'm looking for someone to spend time with even if it's just as friends. If you'd like to know anything else about me feel free to ask. Be warned though, I tend to overuse emoticons. :) <-- see
