My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there! I'm Grant, and I'm a graduate of the Evergreen State College.

Everybody says that these are difficult to fill out and... well, that's true.

I'm a pretty easygoing guy. I'm real into movies and music and video games. And theater. And writing (when I can get myself to focus on it.)

In the long term, I'm looking for a girlfriend. But in the meantime, I'm happy to meet and to hang out and to have fun. I think I'm good at those! :)

(The smiley face means I'm serious.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For the past year I've been doing behind the scenes work with Harlequin Productions (stage managing, sound cues, operating spotlights), which has been a total blast! I'm also about to make my acting debut with them next month ("Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"), which is an honor and incredibly exciting. I'm hoping to do more work with other theater companies in the area (onstage or otherwise) in the very near future.

In the meantime, I'm scouting for jobs and volunteer opportunities. I also write my own blog, Grant Plays on Easy (http://grantplaysoneasy.wordpress.com/), where I mostly review movies. I'm lazy, so most of my updates aren't especially timely, but I keep at it! Give it a whirl.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friendly drunk.

Also, proofreading. I can proofread the fuck outta your essay. (That's a valuable skill, right?)

I'm also a decent cook. Just not a very good... um, 'food arranger?' 'Make-look-tasty specialist?' My food looks messy is what I'm saying.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How tall I am.

That said, I also try to be as polite as I can. Of the few things I pride myself on, I take pride in courtesy, and people seem to notice that.

I also, if what people say is true, am a funny guy. Just so you know: I tend to lean towards the crude and the dark.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I LOOOOOOVVVEEElovelovelovelovelove movies; they're pretty much my life's passion and I go to the movie theater almost every weekend. Some of my favorite films include Lilo & Stitch, Children of Men, Punch-Drunk Love, SLC Punk!, Get Shorty, Ocean's Eleven, and Bad Boys II (guilty pleasure). Favorite directors include Paul Thomas Anderson, Danny Boyle, Alexander Payne, Ridley Scott, and Gore Verbinski

Also a huge animation fan, and pretty familiar with most feature and television animation. (ParaNorman, Rango, Coraline are all amazing movies, and The Amazing World of Gumball is probably the funniest thing on TV right now.)

As far as music goes, I've got a pretty eclectic taste; there's a little bit of everything on my iTunes, though I've got a lifelong love for metal, pop-punk, and hardcore. Favorite bands include Barenaked Ladies, blink-182, Counting Crows, The Cure, Deftones, Eels, Gorillaz, incubus, Kanye West, Motion City Soundtrack, Nine Inch Nails, Polar Bear Club, The Police, Say Anything, System of a Down, Third Eye Blind, Unwritten Law, and Weezer (whew!)

Love reading, but I am horrifyingly behind on any sort of reading right now!

And love pretty much all cuisine (but especially Italian and Chinese)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) Movies
2.) Lasagna
3. - 6.) ...uhhhh....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life. Love. Art. What it all means.

(Also, Jesus Christ, I've been in Olympia for five years, what the fu-)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually staying home, cooking and watching movies. I don't really like going to bars by myself, but if friends are involved, I'll totally get drunk downtown. Just don't expect me to dance well. That's not happening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I use wet wipes instead of toilet paper.

(For real, though, you should invest in that. It's soooooooo much better.)
