My name's Adam.
I'm short and I have a beard sometimes.
I have a tendency to say extremely cynical things.
I also have a tendency to say really twisted things to watch the expressions on peoples' faces; how they react.
I have a passion for history and politics.
I have a son. He's got a weird sense of humor, like me. He also thinks that I punch werewolves.
I'm deathly afraid of spiders.
I like people; even if I come off as slightly introverted.
I'm more of a dog person. Cats are too sneaky.
I want a tattoo of George Washington fighting the King of England in a lightsaber duel. Also acceptable would be Teddy Roosevelt head-butting a Stegosaurus.

I could probably say more. But I think that should suffice.

Embracing my duty as a father and learning to actually employ my intellect in ways that broaden my horizons as well as the horizons of others. I enjoy my work, I enjoy being a dad; I enjoy me.

If not the beard, then probably the look on my face; I have a tendency to make exaggerated expressions.

My favorite book is all of them. I love to read and I will read anything. If I had a choose though, I would say that 'Catch-22' and 'The Stand' are two of my hands-down favorites of all time.

In terms of films, I'll pretty much watch anything. However, I have a special place in my heart for things from the horror genre. The campier and more outrageous, the better. I'm not terribly picky about what I watch.

I don't watch a whole lot of television. When I do though, it's usually a rerun or a miniseries. Most recently, I fell in love with AMC's 'The Walking Dead'.

For music, I listen primarily to metal; screamo more often than not. I do listen to some classical and I've also been caught listening to more mainstream artists because I'm in a love/hate relationship with pop culture.

I love food. I'm not gigantic or anything, but I love food. I love Chinese food, Mexican food, Italian; you name it, I probably like it. Except for really cheesy lasagna and lima beans; those two things drive me into an uncontrollable rage.

How weird adult life is, mostly. I also just...Think sometimes; there's no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Working, hanging out with friends, or spending time with the kid.

...On some Fridays, I also curl up under a blanket and rot my brain with video games while Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (The U.K. version, not that hideous American rendition that sucks all of the life from the show.) plays in the background for ambience.

I live a charmed life, I think.

I'll admit a few:

- I still play Pokemon. Yep.

- I have a paralyzing fear of spiders.

- I have a thing for girls with red hair.

- I geek out when someone wants to talk about politics or religion.

- I also geek out when someone wants to talk about video games, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or any other form of nerd errata I don't wish to list right here.
