I am fairly laid back in life, but can hop into full activity at the drop of a hat. A little reserved at first, but when I get to know someone, I trust them entirely. I maintain a whimsical, fun approach to life, balanced by a traditional code of Honor. I am very passionate in my favorite interests, and hoping to find someone to share life's adventures with. Essentially a Professional on one hand, and Improv theatre on the other, each offering the other a balance of fun and stability. If I am interested in someone, or if someone shows an interest in me via a dating site, admittedly a couple of the first things I look for are spelling and grammar. This does not mean I expect a profile to be typo-free, but a decent grasp of the English Language simply says "this person also stayed awake in the classroom, and cares about communication." It also tells me that they do care about how someone sees them from this online standpoint. Typos, acronyms, and web abbreviations all over the place tend to scream a noisy "No" for me. Taking the time to write allows me to sit back and get a better sense of the person, much in the same way I would settle back to read a book. In order to entice further into the chapters, the first does have to hold the attention, and assure more to come.

I am whimsical, conservative, and spontaneous

For most of the year I am a full time professional, and for part of the year, my Whimsical side is brought to Personification at the local Renaissance Festival where I am part of the local village cast. I also help deliver the Tampa Bay Crusader, a local crime fighting newspaper. In the Autumn, I am also earning a regular appearance at Busch Gardens Howl O Scream], making men scream like women, and making women scream... for reasons only prtaining to Howl O Scream. Occasionally, I do get out to swing dance. I am getting better, though I am still borderline being graceful as an avalanche. Once I get the arrangements needed, I do plan to get my Culinary degree. As proficient as I am with literature and theatre, my best overall skills tend to be in the kitchen. Yes, this would make me quite thoroughly domesticated even though my work does not always allow me to cook the way I would prefer to. That said, one of my favorite ways to break the ice is to cook, and also to occasionally discuss recipe ideas. To say it adds flavor to a conversation is a pun both intended and not so. It helps to find out where someone's flavor preferences stand, as the type of food enjoyed can say a lot about a person.

Conjuring up creative approaches on a whim, and seeing the blessing and benefit in many a situation. I can also cook up a storm in the kitchen, and no, that does not mean throwing a frozen entree in the Microwave. It means taking out the cookbook, seeing what I have, and if needed, going shopping with the cookbook to get what I need. I also enjoy plays on words, pun-manship (Yes, I said Pun, not Pen,) and re-quoting Shakespeare in ways to make the Bard cringe, or at least do a double-take. On occasion, I will even re-sing a song with lyrics to fit the situation at hand. I've been known to take known contemporary songs and re-write the lyrics in entirety, then forget half the lyrics a day later. It is times like this I need a speech to text device.
I'm also very Kid-friendly. Comes with the territory of working at the Renaissance Festival. Given that being near 7-feet tall makes me intimidating to most of the tounger crowd, I have no qualms over taking a knee to be more eye-level. And yes, I do find myself frequently looking down to make sure a kid has not wandered innocently into my path, unaware that what appears to be empty space is actually someone who could step over them. Dare I say Fe Fi Fo Fum?

Is my Height. At 6'10" tall, it's the one feature of me most difficult to miss. One particular feature visible in my photos is No longer a part of me. New photos following a Much needed update will be appearing soon.

Books: The Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings, To Kill A Mockingbird, The DaVinci Code, Phantom of the Opera. Movies: "The Notebook" is one of the Best movies I have seen in a long time, also "Pearl Harbor", "The Last Samurai", and "The Princess Bride". Music: Rock, Classical, Country, very nearly the full spectrum. In Food, there are very few cuisines I have not tried and enjoyed. What I like most tends to vary, though Renaissance cuisine is a special treat. Shows: Doctor Who, Firefly, The Muppet Show, and The Cosby Show. Given a lot of the shows I like are no longer on regular airing. I have recently taken an interest in the new Caprica series, whigh gives an entirely different origin to the Cylons. Also the new V series is rather watchable, as well as Castle, as they bear our favorite heroes from Firefly.

History, and how events of the past have shaped the World we live in today, and what we can do to shape the world of Tomorrow. My mind works in a gestalt manner, where I can take ideas from different times, societies, genres, and idealisms, and combine them together, or all-out kitbash them together to see what becomes of their combination.

Playing it by ear, sometimes settling down for a movie at home or out and about, or finding out what friends are doing.

Something which will have to wait for that special someone.
