Shy, quiet, confident, contemplative, introverted.... yes, I am all of these things at the same time. I am more of a listener than a talker (I am ok with this, I will interject when I feel my opinion will add to the conversation.)

- I am the guy who saw you coming 100 feet behind me, and stayed and held the door for you.
- I am the guy in the car ahead of you, who gave the homeless guy $5. We all need a hot meal or cold beer at some point.
- I am the guy who bought you the drink at the bar, and never came over to say hi.
- I am the guy you saw pull a chair out for his date, then order for her. Remember how sweet you thought it was?
- I am the guy who carried a 55 pound backpack on your first backpacking trip, taking half your load so you would have a good first experience.
- I am the one who made a point of waving to you when you let me into traffic.
- I am the one who sent the flowers, just because.
- I am the romantic I guess....

On a really great day, you will find me out and about, hiking or backpacking, camping or swimming. You don't have to enjoy these things, but if you do, bonus points for you. I am an adrenaline junkie, I climb mountains, ride the craziest coasters I can find, and am up for most any adventure. I am an optimist. I see positive in most any situation, and it takes a lot to ruffle my feathers. I am also very relaxed, and can as easily spend the day reading by the fire, or under a blanket with some movies. I am as comfortable in shirt and tie as I am in jeans and sandals (my choice 90% of the time). I like fancy dinners as well as good old cheap diners. I feel it's a shame people don't order dessert anymore.

I believe in things like chivalry. You will find me opening doors for you, standing to meet you, pulling out your chair. I do old fashioned things like walk on the street side of you. When the bill for drinks or dinner comes, and I pull out my wallet, I will thank you for offering to split the bill, but I’m not letting you pay a cent… sorry!!

I'm a geek, a cowboy, a romantic, an outdoorsman, a redneck, a socialite, a wallflower, a father, and a gentleman all rolled up into a tall, cute, man.

My biggest job, first and foremost, is raising my two amazing boys so that they will grow into smart, polite, gentlemen. I am not out searching for a mother for them; they already have one who is part of their lives. That said, if you don’t like kids, probably not such a great idea for us to date. I take my responsibility as a father very important, and sometimes it will interfere with dating. Hopefully the woman I am with will realize how special that makes me, and will forgive me for it. I will feel bad, and I will way overcompensate when it happens, but it's also something I will not waver on.

My other job involves software. I love my job, look forward to each day and the challenges it brings, and am going to continue to grow and advance in my career.

Lastly, I love to play. When I am not working, I like to be playing.

I think the best compliment I have ever been given is that I have an amazing ability to stay calm regardless of any situation, and I can in fact walk into a tense situation and lower the tension because of my ability to calmly work through a problem.

I am also an excellent cook. I love cooking for people, and I throw parties expressly for that purpose. My specialty is BBQ, however I also do Italian and sushi very well. My last party was a Sushi party for 20 friends, and it was a huge success.

Height for sure... ladies, unless you are 6'1 and wear 4 inch heels, I will be taller than you. After that, strangely, I get complimented on having nice lips...

Music - if you thought my books and my movies were random, you will just have to take my word for it on my music. I have just about every genre of music in my iTunes.

Food - I kinda covered this in my "things i'm good at" section, but I do want to say that I am willing to try just about anything once. I would consider myself a foodie, but one who can also get away with eating junk and not feel bad about it. yet.

Assuming the basic human needs are already covered, lets see.

1. My kids.
2. Someone intelligent and adult to converse with.
3. Family - I have a big one, and we all get along, and it's fun!
4. Friends - I don't have a large entourage, but the friends I do have are worth their weight in gold, and I would do anything for them.
5. Challenge - I am competitive, and love to have a challenge to work on. This is not to be confused with drama, which I can't stand and avoid at all costs.
6. Fun - I strive to have fun and enjoy most everything I do.

The future of my and my boys. I have in my mind what I want in my future spouse, and what my life looks like in that picture. I dream of retiring onto a boat and chasing the sun. Trips to Italy, Greece, and lots of other places. I am a romantic, and as such, a dreamer...

Home with my boys, or at the beach visiting family, or in the hot tub. I am kind of a homebody. That said, if I have a reason to go out with friends or whatnot, I am always up for an adventure. I have been trying to get myself out more.

I am really an open book, I will answer anything you ask me. I am not really a private person.

You are interested in a fun date with a nice guy. While we usually finish last (it is true), I am hoping that there really are as many ladies out there really looking for nice guys as there are complaining that there are no nice guys left. I am left, and nice, and am waiting for the right woman to snatch me out of the crowd so that I can grace her arm....
