My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Jewish/geek/engineer.

How honest is one suppose to be in a profile?
Do I parade out my favorite traits? The ones I would prefer people want to find in me.
Or do I showcase by most socially acceptable ones? The ones that get me more attention in a general way?

I've been to Australia eight times and will continue to visit every year that I can.
Dear Australia, Please let me move in.

I am still waiting on an opportunity to make a trip to Japan. I can't see myself going to Tokyo alone. But as the years go by, traveling alone doesn't sound as bad.
And with my luck at finding a travel partner, traveling alone may become necessary.

I've been in Rochester for over 10 years (RIT Graduate) and I often think about hitting the road for somewhere new.
Starting over has a rather romantic draw to it.

Did you know that Oreo cookies were actually a knock off of the Hydrox brand? I really should remove this part, but I still think that is pretty impressive.

I can't draw a straight line and I'm colorblind. But I still enjoy trying out the occasional artistic endeavor.
I have had some luck with costuming. That's an art right?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a Network engineering with a small Telecom company.
It's hard to explain. But suffice it to say, I help create, maintain, and improve the Internet infrastructure.
You're welcome.

Adding more vacations to my life.
For me, that means Conventions. I do love an excuse to Costume up!
Also love the idea of taking a cruise.

Plus the endless struggle to keep myself motivated for fitness.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people smile; I have been told that I have more charm than I give myself credit for.

Looking younger than my age. Yay?

Kitchen skills; Though my interest in it comes and goes.

I've been told that I am an optimist. But really, I just don't like to focus on the negative; too depressing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is perhaps the trickiest question for me.
What do you notice? Hair? Clothing? Smile? Well, I do smile a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
1) The Anita Blake Series (by laurell k hamilton) was the novel series that got me into reading, but has since lost it's appeal... but i do still credit it for my love of reading.
I would also recommend anything by Anne Bishop, Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Peter V. Brett, Mercedes lackey.
There are likely several more i could mention, but let's just say that i really like fantasy novels.

1.1) I started reading comic books again. Starting with Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn, and The Flash.

2) Avatar, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, The Avengers,Wreck-It Ralph, and The Cabin in the Woods are some of the favorites.
Plus animated movies. All of them.

3) It's easier for me to pick favorite shows than movies. Some of the top ones are Firefly, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Wonderfalls, Special Unit 2, Stargates SG1, Dexter, Community, a few of the Star Treks, Game of Thrones, Archer, Family Guy, Sealab, Once Upon a Time, Big Bang Theory... Oh, and a few dozen Anime.
Joss Whedon may very well be my deity.

4) I like music, i have music playing most of the time, but I don't consider myself a music person. So giving you a list of bands wouldn't really tell you much about me.

5) Breakfast.
Italian food, Deli food, Bread, several Chinese and Thai dishes, a few things from an Indian or Mexican menu, and Brownie Sundaes.
I do not enjoy sea food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Books: I love the feel and smell of a physical book. But digital is winning in terms of convenience.

-The Internet: There is just so much knowledge to find!

-Computers: I am a technology lover after all.

-Friends: Everything is better shared.

-Privacy: Okay, everything but privacy is better shared.

-Games: Video, board, card, table top.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about possibilities a lot; both real and absurd ones.

And I'm always thinking "What's Next?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing?
And making sure I have something to offer the table for the Saturday brunch gathering.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not an Alpha male.
And I love that about myself.
