I know, "yo," like, who does he think he is? Pshaw.

Not too bad actually. Far, far, faaaar from perfect, but always and actually working on myself, and not just saying it because it sounds good, but doing the work that comes with it. I like people who are doing the same.

I'm also awesome. Funny, smart, compassionate, attentive, not a lunatic, know how to spell and which homonyms are which, all that good stuff.

Ok, some of you are busted with the books. Some coincidence that your favorite books are the standard reads in HS and college, huh? Nobody ACTUALLY likes "The Great Gatsby." They just think they're supposed to. Busted.

But there are just way too many books. Generally stick with interesting non-fiction. I read to think and learn.

Music: absolute favorite ever is Beethoven's 9th. Always has been, probably always will. Besides that, white guy rock, jazz of many flavors, trip-hop, ska and old reggae, old motown and r&b, funk, some disco (workin at the car wash...), probably some other stuff. Country (the new stuff) is the tool of the devil, and I used to play the drums, so I appreciate a beat more complex than thud thud thud.

you're a decent human being. Tougher than it sounds. I don't know, have that spark of life, the light behind the eyes that shines a little wonder on the daily drudge. Education, money, background, race, doesn't matter to me. I like interesting, individuated people. You know, weirdos. Have a fucking opinion; own up to your weaknesses; accept yourself for the grossly fallible creature that you are. As a grossly fallible creature myself, I gotta say, it's not that bad.

I can accept craziness more easily than boredom, and I'm very much aware we all have those moments in life that still make us cringe years later, and, well, that's ok too. I don't want someone trying to be perfect. I want someone trying to be better.
