My self-summary
I travel when I can from the busy streets of Tokyo to the sparsely populated island of St. Croix. When going out I would rather go to small and unique places rather than large chain restaurants. I take pleasure in reading a good book both fiction and non-fiction and I appreciate recommendations from others. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes to share with friends and family. Cooking with someone is even better. I always go to great lengths for family and friends.

I am extremely kind and giving and have a quirky sense of humor, mostly on the dry side. I go to the gym but not as often as I should. I enjoy the occasional cocktail with friends. I like to try new places but also enjoy the comfort of places that know my name.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, traveling, reading.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I find answering the question what is my favorite anything difficult for I am really all over the place. For music I like it all. From hot jazz from the early to mid twentieth century to black eye peas to David Bromberg. The only music I really do not care for is the Beatles, rap (I think it is more poetry than music) and opera on the radio. But I do like going to the opera. Of course, ‘The Wailin' Jennys’ also. Any live performance, being theater, concert, or whatever is always a plus.
As for books, I love to read, and again, I read just about anything except romance novels. I enjoyed ‘The Red Fox’ by Anthony Hyde. Anything written by Chad Orzel. I read ‘The Magicians’ by Lev Grossman and I did not like the book, but I did like parts of it, but I am glad I read that book. Not sure how to explain that opinion.
Favorite movies, Apollo 13 and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.
The six things I could never do without
Family, oxygen, water, food, brain stem
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
What private thing I want to make public ? That would be nothing.
