My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a life rich in mysticism, the home-grown kind, friends, plants, books, music, and as many of the wonders that New York has in abundance that I can avail myself of, given severe financial restraint. I am motivated by love and principle. If you just want to see my mind in action when I am not trying to impress anone look at my horticulture blog. It doesn't sell anything; it's just a record of my growing and wonderings.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The one luxiry I have is time to invest. These days helping and just visiting with my fine friends is high on the list. So are the bonsai project, containing old trees and young ones on the leading edge of what I can do and learn, the amaryllis breeding project, containing species and hybrids, and other miscellaneous mostly desert plants, not really research but just love. There are the endless books and interesting music to enjoy and to learn from, a kitchen full of spices, and, of course, me, seeking to learn both inforation and wisdom. By now when someone has a question or need I can often help them on their way. In the end making this sphere of existence more beautiful and survivable is how I earn my keep.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My greatest gift to you is time to fill as we choose. Ideas usually form the bedrock of conversation, from what we will do to how we feel to exploring a new concept. I am good at making people happy so long as they like what I am. You don't substitute a baseball for a fish. Here are good food, great books, fine music, superb friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The first thing is that I am blind. After than they notice that I really pay attention to them when we talk.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The lives of my people, what I am lately learning, and the longing for a committed relationship to give to and receive from.
