Before you go and read my little paragraph about how I tried to describe myself, let me just say a few things about what I'm looking for. You can't jump into a relationship with just anyone you meet, but I'm not going to say I'm NOT looking for a relationship, because, ultimately, I AM. However, I definitely love to meet new people, even if it turns out to be just friends. I know some people say they are looking for this or that, and sometimes it just turns out you two just end up having a good time together. Hey, I am not making any assumptions about what will happen between me and you if we go out. I am not really looking for a pen pal though. To me, these kinds of sites are to help people like me and you meet up without having to go spend our paycheck at some bar buying each other drinks all night. So, if you aren't interested in at least seeing each other face to face at some point then just don't bother messaging. Also, I'm not always the brightest person, but I do like my women to have some amount of intelligence. Hell, I even like it if you're a little witty/borderline sassy! So, if you message me at least say something other than 'hey, what's up?'. It's just plain not interesting, ok? If I message you, you better believe I'm going to wait until after I've read your profile and tried to find something to start a conversation with.

My interests are in movies, writing, playing guitar, ANYthing creative or artsy. My dream job would be to write screenplays for movies for a living. I can be really sarcastic, so I am looking for someone who is intelligent and have a good enough sense of humor to understand me and get along well with me. I am not looking to dive headlong into a serious relationship, but having a family is on my agenda for the future before I die. I like to try new things and I like to have a good time. I am not scared to act like a total idiot in public, and if you go with me to a bar I am almost sure to do just that. I am NOT a huge drinker or bar person, but I just like to have fun wherever and whenever. I am looking for a relationship where communication is big. Somebody that I can have both a profound emotional connection with as well as physical. I am not looking for one-night stands. Sex is great, but if used improperly it can ruin something that could have been a great relationship. I can be quiet at times, but this is because I am really analytical thinker. I care a lot about what I do, and I rarely do things without reasons behind them. I still love and listen to music I grew up with like Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen (Sammy not Dave) and stuff like that. In my mind one of the most romantic things I like to do is slow dance to that stuff while a DJ is playing it. That's cheesy I know, but there's just something about it. I sometimes think I was born in the wrong decade. I try to enjoy life even when it's not the easiest thing to do.

I thought it would be fun to write some more stuff so here goes:
I HATE to not be clean-shaven. I like to draw portraits of people (but off of photos because the people in them hold still better). I will open your door for you. If you're really special to me I'll pull your chair out for you and take your coat. I just got an Ipod for christmas and I've been listening for hours and hours straight. I like big dogs, but I'd settle for a little one. I love to text message. I've been caving before. I've been rock climbing, and I've also been white-water rafting. I think hiking the apalachian trail or climbing Mt. Everest is something I could feasibly accomplish and I'd be willing to give it a shot. I think female singer/songwriters are cool, especially if they play guitar. I once paid about 700$ to go to a hollywood pitch festival and pitch some screenplays I wrote even though I really didn't come back with anything from it. I'm good with money, but am NOT rich. Retirement doesn't sound like fun to me. I don't know if I'll EVER figure out what I should do with my life. I once helped deliver christmas presents to homeless people in downtown memphis. I once volunteered to work at a soup kitchen. I had my first girlfriend at 16 and I still remember what her name is and where I met her and how long we dated.

Working a couple jobs to make ends meet, trying to get into the Air National Guard (I was active duty for 4 years and regret getting out). I having several pokers in several fires so in a year from now I have no idea what I'll be doing.

I'm really good at drawing and a little bit good at writing. I also dabble at guitar, but I'm not really that good. I like doing anything creative.

I don't really know. I am taller than most, and I have that short, dark hair going for me. I've been told I have a nice smile, although unless someone made me laugh it's usually not showing my teeth.

Some of my RECENT favorite movies are 'Things We Lost in the Fire', 'There Will Be Blood', 'No Country For Old Men' and 'Juno'. I have an extensive list that goes back way way farther than that, though. I'm a huge movie lover. My favorite music is wild and varied. For more contemporary stuff I like 3 Doors Down, Saliva, Nickelback and Counting Crows. I have this LOVE for late 70's and 80's stuff as well, though. I love Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen (Sammy Hagar) and many others. I love to eat Sushi when I can find the extra money. I'm a very healthy eater all around. I make a lot of ham sandwiches on wheat bread, eat a decent breakfast every morning, lots of fruits and veggies.

I'm a constant daydreamer. It's why I didn't get A's in school, and it's why I miss out on what's going on around me all the time. I think about anything and everything. I think about work, money, life, love, the future, good memories. I tell people I live in the future. It's not the best way to be, because I miss out on what's happening now, but I think it's a curse I have to live with.

You should message me if you aren't a game player, if you're looking for a nice, stable guy, if you like to have intelligent conversations with someone, if getting to know someone who doesn't know exactly what they want to do with the rest of their life yet is extremely ambitious or someone who can do or say something that completely surprises you is intriguing to you, or any/all of the above...

When I first meet you, I know it's awkward, so I want to do it at something REALLY casual. Coffee shop or walking in the mall or a park is best, but we can get a drink if you want. It just sucks because alcohol can lower your inhibitions and you get some 'beer goggles' and your attraction may not be genuine.
